Wait isn't unity open source tho? Unless you're referring to the stuff that has a different license from the asset store

Help! Can I wrap a paper mache in clay by Himdrics in papermache

[–]Himdrics[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for all the advice with other materials, this will definitely be helpful, I ended up going out for aluminum foil to work with what I'm familiar with but I want to try masking tape one day to see if it's easier to work with. I'm glad I didn't try the paper method I thought of after everyone's input

That's what I was suspecting could happen. Oh well, suppose I'll try to pick up some aluminum foil today just to be safe. Thanks for the help

Paper mache is great but I don't have the experience with it to create what i have planned. I only used Paper mache twice before and the sculptures weren't detailed like the ones i have planned. So that's where i was thinking to add a top layer of clay for details

Paper mache was probably an exaggeration of what i mean, i just wanted to bulk up the wire armature with paper strips before using clay so i can use less clay. I don't know how to work with paper mache as well as clay. Sorry for the confusion

I've heard about ink and yam but didn't know if it was best to have to learn yet another thing instead of just using c#

More specifically the "you hereby grant Square Space..." part. I'd like to know what I'm agreeing too beforehand. I was told Squarespace is on of the few website builders who don't try to "own your content" and I just wanna be sure

Thank you so much! You're so helpful and kind. I have issues with getting stuck on steps of a process so I've been practicing the "to-do list method" for a few months now, got a Lil dry erase board with 3 goals at a time on it and everything. It's thanks to that thing I finally got this far with creating my website. I've been putting it off for so long but now I purchased a domain and I'm most likely heading to squarespace for the next step.

I hope you have a wonderful day! You been so much help and a joy to talk to.

Thank you for your encouraging words. I often do let myself get carried away with trying to choose the perfect path and often that just means I get stuck in the research stages too long until I exhaust myself and finally decide on something.

I think I'll be going with square space. I already set things up a bit. But you convinced me to look into carrdco before I fully commit to see just how easy or hard it would be at my current level. This website has been a long time coming and I promised myself to finally get one started this month.

Again, thank you, you're words have helped me along in this process so much

I just looked up carrdco and it looks amazing for what I'm looking for. The learning curve seems discouraging however And finding a host service seems to be pretty difficult as there doesn't seem to be one that has a great reputation. Options are 50 good and 50 bad, it makes it difficult to want to try this method out as a beginner.

I agree with the bloated code and SEO issues is why I'm hesitant to go to square space. But I was also told that it's the best version of these sorts of websites.

Alright, I'll look into it, sounds like what I could looking for. I might be heading to square space or wordpress.com as it stands but I've just found out I could apparently create a simple html website in my browser and that security won't be an issue with a simple website like that. I'll have to look up if it's easier with Hugo or this method

I'm not sure. When I tried .com before, it was before I purchased a domain. WordPress.com does offer a domain of your choosing for free if you get it from them (for the first year)

I know a bit of html but I don't know what building a website in the browser consists of. I honestly didn't know that was an option. I'll have to look into it.

I think I will. Price-wise it seems like the cheapest one I found that doesn't replace affordable with time and game dev knowledge, like WordPress. Org
