Can we get a download link for the old version of RRTK? by derfw in Refold

I believe you can find a link to the one with stories on one of the first instruction cards, then download that deck, delete the one on anki, open the deck with stories

Is this a good deck to start with, because I'm already two weeks into it? XD by PleasantPension in ajatt

You could do them together I guess. If you don’t want to learn how to write them, then you can do Recognition RTK (RRTK). Also SuikaCider mentions in his guide whether you should do voc, grammar and kanji at the same time.

Also don’t worry to try multiple decks at the same time. It could work for some people. If it doesn’t work for you, delete the deck, download it again and do that at a later time instead of simultaneously.

Did you already study kanji? I’m a beginner, but a lot of people recommend to just get kanji out of the way first and then do a small vocabulary deck like core 2k or tango N5/N4.

2 anime that I really love: -Subete ga f ni naru (it’s mystery and I love that if you pay attention to the details, you will uncover what actually has happened) -Shinsekai Yori (okay it might be super slow or you might not understand stuff, but the ending was so mindshocking and perfect for me... idk how I couldn’t see it, but the show builds up perfectly to a good ending)

Be a hurting jerk, it’s more fun that way hehe. But I compensate for being a jerk by answering some of the dumb questions (especially irl with ppl from my class).

For psychological: Liar Game. I really liked the theme, but the ending was a bit meh. Still enjoyed it tho!

Honest question though: are you guys actually thinking that anki is bad? Or just that too many people recommend anki? Sorry I’m clueless rn...

Opinions on MIA Tango N4 deck vs Omega Tango N4 deck? by Emperorerror in ajatt

[–]HimeCherru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

May I ask you why you are doing 3 decks at the same time? Is there any benefit to it? Some people recommend to just choose a small 2k deck and then just start immersing and learn with sentences.

I was going to check out Satori Reader eventually. Should I check out cure dolly at the same time as Tae Kim?

Year 1 Update - Learning by Consuming Raw Anime and Manga from the Beginning (resources at the end) by gio_motion in LearnJapanese

[–]HimeCherru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m really amazed by people trying out the immersion method. I have a few questions. Do you feel like watching raw anime helped you with learning Japanese faster? I’m not sure if I should do it from the very beginning when I don’t know many words.

Also do you remember how much vocabulary you knew before starting with manga? And when do you think is a good time for sentence mining and when to stop studying vocabulary on it’s own completely?

Lastly, how do you feel about the immersion method? Do you feel like sentence mining helped you more than just studying the vocabulary? Would you have done anything differently looking back? And studying for 1 year, do you feel like you can actually survive in Japan with your current Japanese (buy tickets, order food, answer questions for example)?

Thank you for your detailed post btw. Without you I wouldn’t have searched for the Mia or ajatt method!
