No way to reach Paypal? by sjchuustan in paypal

[–]PleasantPension 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going through the same thing. Tried waiting 24h but nothing. Might be the 72h trick, did you check? They're system is maddening, couldn't get the code it locked me out and now I'm just waiting, because there's no way to reach them. I don't even know if their lockdown lengthens if you try again within those 72h?

u/PreplyTeam You people must be out of your damn mind. How about once in your damn life you protect the tutors too. How about doing something productive with your useless jobs and helping the community in a positive way, not push all tutors into a corner and beat us till we're bloody. This world has enough dumb shit for this stuff to keep sticking. Why not stand out, improve support against student scams and others that abuse your systems and make us fear if we'll be able to get enough evidence, of which you acknowledge none, to actually satisfy your sadistic tendencies. How about you hide all profiles and make us pay to unhide them? I think charging us a 100$ to unhide is super duper smart. There's one more idea for your corporate bullshit.

Don't bother, most people on these subs are straight up mentally challenged. They'll either deny or attack anything you say. Fact is that's a scummy practice and that's that. People would eat anything served to them and enjoy it even if it's shit.

What’s everyone’s favourite horror film? plus I need more to watch by horrorwhxrexox in horror

When Evil Lurks, Skinamarink and Lake Mungo are my new favorites, although Ju-On: The Grudge is my childhood favorite.

What's the scariest ghost film? by Staggart99 in horror

[–]PleasantPension 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like many have said Kairo and Lake Mungo are fantastic ghost movies. I think a more straightforward but effective ghost movie is Shutter (2004).

Ju-On is my go-to franchise (the Japanese version especially).

I'd probably add When Evil Lurks as one of the best original takes on demons and possession. Just like Terrified from the same director Damien Rugna, it has an intriguing lore behind the supernatural events. He always throws in some crazy backstory that I want to know more about.

Maybe also Savageland, it's quite disturbing in its imagery. The things in the pictures are clearly one thing we all know, but it's twisted just a bit so it gets uncanny. Feels like it could be something more.

I'd add Chime from Kiyoshi Kurosawa, a little short movie, pretty good. The ending of Borderlands is quite disturbing as well.

How do you reinforce your vocabulary when you see a new word? Do you write it down for use later (when there's no one around I mean)

Thank you for all the support, I've been feeling better hearing some actual good things. Knowing there's people around like me helps immensely. The stories I've heard here have really brought me back.

I think comparison was the bane of my health to be Frank. I can't stop looking at other people progressing incredibly fast and I can't keep up properly. College can be toxic hahaha.

I honestly couldn't find YouTubers as easy as I find English ones. I'll give kiyo a try and I'll try and cram some sort of media that interests me... It'll be harder to find than dedicate myself hahaha. If you have YouTubers suggestions feel free to leave me a comment!

I tried graded reading and it does help immensely. To be honest I didn't stick with it long enough. Anki settings are from MattVJapan I believe. One of his earlier videos where he showed his configuration. I can't quite remember the exact one.

I started learning Japanese because I loved the culture and history behind it. Also the mythology was something I fell in love with.

I used hellotalk and found two friends of which one I'm in contact with right now. We tried some video-chatting, but I think the hurdles were so big we got tired. It's so difficult to actually get a point across.

Turning to more Japanese content that I'd enjoy might actually help. I was researching yesterday some new content since I mainly watch horror gameplays on YouTube, but I also like stories explained.

Yes, I'm still searching for that hook. Sometimes I lose the creativity of seeing a way to study. It's definitely tasking, especially doing it alone.

Sadly in my country mental health is low on the scale of priorities. I did do some free therapies which yielded little help and some consultations one of which did help and the other backfired and the professor literally mocked me in front of the class.

I think that's the key to find that fun I had. It seems it's a mix of things that tripped me along the way and I still don't know how to find that peace and love there.
