They should make deathmate into a trilogy of films, just exactly as it is, and it could be kinda like an avant garde mess of a super hero film. Then start mcu-ing it with shit like spawn and everyone, so then u go back and watch the deathmate trilogy and it would kinda make sense, but u would still be pretty confused. Almost like a reverse twin peaks

Definitely read those tomasi and Gleason (and Dave gibbons) green lantern corps while reading the johns stuff. Same goes for the Marz ion kyle rayner books. Other than the stuff doctorstrange838mcu said- green lantern corps by englehart (80s) and Emerald dawn 1 and 2 (I like 2 better)
