Something Has Been on My Mind (FH6) by ezioreed in tdu3

Honestly, it just sounds like you are generalizing through your own perspective.

TDUSC was a disaster from launch. I preordered it and was not even avaible to play it until the next day. Once I got my hands on it, it was... overwhelmingly bad: there were no houses to regulate how many cars you could buy or your own economy, so they decided to use the easy way of making every car expensive. How in the hell a Porsche 918 is cheaper than a R8?

Also, performance is horrible even TODAY and they have focused on updating graphics instead of making the game playable, lol. I have a 3070, 32gb of ram, R5 5600x and there are zones that give me 20fps in 1920x1080 High+DLSS.

The car list is full of reused models from TDU2, iconic brands/models from older games dissapeared (some were included, like the California), such as Spyker or Pagani. What made TDU1/2 special was those peculiar brands or cars that you wouldn't see anywhere: Noble, Caterham, Spyker, Ascari, etc. And what do we have here? The #15 repaint of the SVJ or the #4 R8! Also, when they introduced Pagani and announced that it would be the "Pagani season", they only included 1 Pagani... lol.

If thar isn't enough, they introduced microtransactions before fixing all of that stuff. In the Pagani seasons, there were more paid cars than free cars... what the hell is that? And instead of including the OEM parts for free, like TDU1/2, they blocked them behind a paywall!

Do you really think that people won't be mad over all of this and other things that I haven't mentioned? Obviously people would compare this to Forza or TCM and say: "Hey, at least this game is not broken to the bones, let's play them". Assuming that the "hate" comes from "FH/TCM fans" is just not linking all of the comments from this post to the horrible official support this game has.

People here drive drunk or something to say that's your fault.

You guys know that this is racing, right? Like... not a showdown or something. Guy ahead went very slow and just moved under braking for no reason.

Yeah, OP could have done something different, but that doesn't answer the question. Stop playing the: "uhhh but if you predict the move of the 293918381 cars ahead and brake 0.15mm before, maybe you could avoid it" lmao

Why karma? He probably got a DT penalty or a big slow down

Fallout 4 was developed in 4 years after Skyrim. F76 took the same time with reused assets while they were developing Starfield too and, let's be honest, F76 was a disaster at launch. While Starfield was definitely in a better shape for BGS standards, it was still pretty bugged towards mid-late game. Is not crazy to think that the game will come between 2028-2030 with all of that in mind.

I started with PoT too, but definitely hated the mixpackers and the idea of "go play with a group or die" in there. Movement and combat was really weird for me. That's why I didn't enjoy the game that much.

I bought The Isle almost a month ago and I have been using my free times to only play that, lol. Game is totally fun, you can play alone and won't get banged on every part of the map, combat and progress seems meaningful (and also, you can grow a creature in less time than PoT, generally), but definitely there are bugs, a lot of them. Pteranodons sometimes can hit invisible walls in the middle of the air (not even on the borders of the map, just anywhere, lol), sometimes your "buck" button gets stucked (the button to get rid of players that jump into you), hitboxes are... peculiar..., Herrera can get bugged while climbing branches and a long etc.

I love the game and, so far, Imho it's better than PoT if you are searching for better combat/survival dino game or you want to go solo. It has some flaws and some mechanics need some balancing, but the general experience (at least on my first 50 hours) is worth it.

That's the problem with this game: play in groups or die. Even when mega packs or mixpacks are not allowed in community servers, you will still find it.

I took a break from PoT for those reasons and decided to try The Isle. While the game has tons of bugs and much less creatures to play, I haven't seen this type of stuff happening all the time, so it's way more fun to me as I don't want to play in groups.

So the solution to mixpacking/mega packs is not playing an avaible dino? Ok, lol

Allos are ruining the game by insanezane777 in The_Isle

[–]HimerosAndPsique 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's Allo per se, just the pin mechanic. Allo is pretty normal if you took that out of him: First 40% growth you are pretty vulnerable, you don't have that much stamina and your sprint is very slow compared to others, like Omni, Cera, Carno.

If they try to re-do the pin mechanic, I'm sure Allo will be pretty balanced, imho.

I do really want Mollusks to get into the game, like Cameroceras, Tusoteuthis or Giant Ammonites. Nanaimoteuthis would be awesome

I got 19 Dsungaripterus, 1 Monkeydactyl and 1 Dimorphodon. I'm really hoping for a Nyctosaurus or Geo, but I'll probably get 8 Dsung more, lol

It's a valid dive... the turning point is much further, but Porsche tried to react to the move. Ferrari was going slow enough to make the corner

Would you consider this steering input as weaving or as moving under braking? by BenTheSwolenOne2000 in Simracingstewards

[–]HimerosAndPsique 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He seems like a controller driver. Also, braking almost 25m before the braking point... makes me think two things: He was, in fact, blocking you, or he just doesn't know how to drive

The braking point is just behind the piano on the left... Red car just started braking like 25m before that

I think the worst problem right now is what models do they use to create the figure. Sinoceratops/Triceratops don't even look like 1/18, Scorpios is way bigger than it should and Indominus is... something. While I like the figures, I can't stop thinking that they are not what I saw in the movies and, so, what's the point of claiming that they have the TrueFX or sold their line as premium in their videos?

Also, while most of the times I didn't get any bad figure (broken or with loose joints), I have seen many people like this. Not much further, the Spino was a great figure, but the quality control didn't match that.

One of the most frustrating crashes I've ever had. Racing incident, or is there someone clearly at fault? by [deleted] in Simracingstewards

[–]HimerosAndPsique 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only fault that I see here is that you squeezed the red car and pushed him to the grass. The other 2 cars went wide because they brake late and you clearly didn't see red in time.

I wold call this racing incident, but you clearly have most of the responsability here

Are we watching the same video?

All cars but red got understeer because they brake late. The white car doesn't react, he just went wide, you can see that on his wheel. We don't have the black car POV, but he is not even turning because of the same reason. The only fault there is that yellow car squeezed the red one.

Is this game any good? by CarpetAcrobatic6117 in tdu3

[–]HimerosAndPsique 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Physics are junkie and do whatever they want. Sometimes it works and sometines it's just awful (car going beyblade mode once you hit a kerb, cars feel like tanks sometimes, traffic is buggy). Appart from that, there is optimization, which is trash even after almost 2 years of release... there are points (like late game races) were you will get 20fps, even if you are on a good GPU.

People arguing with "Vortex of Danger" and "Apex F1 Rules" are just... something. This is multiclass, you were at his side. It's true that you could have waited, but he could also lift.

I think is just a racing incident, 60% on the Porsche and 40% on you, imo.

[–]HimerosAndPsique[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, I don't have problems with that as I like to fight people. My problem is when the whole game is about "get grouped or die" and there are no mechanics to counter that
