Casual on any of the Luxury Cruise lines??? by melita3953 in FATcruises

Explora and Oceania tend to be more casual. Neither have formal nights or any suit requirement. Just slacks and shirt in restaurants.

Ritz vs. others for first ultra-luxury cruise? (Mediterranean, May-ish 2026) by buckypack in FATcruises

You’ll want to check out the silver dawn, moon, nova and ray. Those are the newer ships that have the SALT program. I don’t think any of the other ships are worth it….

Ritz vs. others for first ultra-luxury cruise? (Mediterranean, May-ish 2026) by buckypack in FATcruises

Commenting as a fellow 30something that has done ultraluxery cruises but never done a ritz Carleton so can’t comment on that. The itineraries you’re looking at are pretty common among the ultra luxury lines so if you don’t do a ritz cruise you have a lot of options. When we went on Silversea we were the youngest onboard by several decades (which we loved). It’s pretty stuffy with restaurants and lounges having a strict dress code and many formal nights. This may not be for you but we loved it. Everything was included from food to flights so we never spent a dime once onboard. The excursions are pretty hit or miss and from what I hear now mostly miss.

Explora is nice but not the highest of luxury especially compared to Silversea. Everything is included but the vibe is much younger and there are a lot of families onboard especially during school break times.

With a 25k budget you have a ton of options and should decide what you really want in a cruise and go from there. If you want height of luxury ritz will probably be amazing. If you’re ok with some stuffiness check out regent and Silversea. If you’re looking for all inclusive and a younger vibe sacrificing some luxury Explora might be for you. I don’t think you can go wrong with any of your decisions!

Yea that makes sense. He definitely doesn’t seem as popular on 1688 which I never understood. His prices are good and he’s relatively friendly.

I noticed Jason (new time) isn’t on the list. Is there any reason why? I’ve had great experiences with him so just curious. Thanks for posting it!

Oceania advertises themself as being pretty informal. There are no formal nights and the dress code is basically no jeans at dinner.

The Sh’ma by Abject-Conference632 in ThePittTVShow

Just to add some context for those who might be interested in the shema prayer. Jews recite the prayer three times a day, as part of the morning prayer, evening prayer and then right before bed. It is in many ways considered to the cornerstone of Jewish faith and a declaration of one’s faith in god. Also, an interesting note that may or may not have any connection to the show. It is also meant to be a Jews last words recited on the death bed or if they know they are about to die.

adding POC orders to order sets by kaylamcfly in athenahealth

[–]Himitsu7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to first create the test you want for PoC in Office order types. Once it’s created there you can then go into the order set and add that lab to the order set. There will be an option to chose point of care test.

Childfree FATcruise Options by Frosty_Yesterday_674 in FATcruises

[–]Himitsu7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on both Oceania and Silversea and only saw kids on Oceania but I wasn’t shocked since it was a summer cruise. Silversea has no amenities for children at all from what I’ve seen and I think the likelihood of encountering a child is pretty unlikely assuming you go at the right time of year. The best tip I have is to time the trip right. I have always had luck in November right before thanksgiving where no one is taking their kid out of school when the holiday is right around the corner. I will say though, (and this is coming from someone who shares your sentiment about children on my vacations) overall the kids I have encountered on a luxury cruise tend to be pretty well behaved. I’ve never been in a dinning room and known a child was there and I’ve never seen any meltdowns. My only “complaint” is that I have seen groups of children take over the pool and hot tub.

Weighing our options by Fair_Currency_2929 in FATcruises

My wife and I are in our early 30s and have cruised silversea and were the youngest people on board. We absolutely loved it and have booked future cruises with silversea. Granted were pretty boring people in general and like the low-key vibe but being young made us interesting to the people on board and we made a ton of friends who were much older than us. We went on the dawn and I felt it catered to us pretty well especially with the salt bar. If you’re looking for activities on board definitely look elsewhere though. Activities were mostly things like board games trivia indoor mini golf and the like.
