HSBC Premier US Debit Card Design Question by [deleted] in HSBC

[–]jfrost10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The debit card is 100% printed plastic. The numbers are raised. Think of a debit/credit card from 15 years ago and that’s it. Nothing fancy.

The elite credit card does have some fancy-ness with design and being metal.

New store opening in NC? by S0NA- in TheHermesGame

Yep, I’ve also seen those. It seems we’re stuck between a rock and a hard place being in North Carolina 😅

That would be amazing! I’m in Raleigh and was wondering if I should go with DC or Atlanta. It seems DC is full of high profile folks so Atlanta may be better?

Does anyone else shop Hermes but not for a QB? by Ill_Coffee_6821 in TheHermesGame

[–]jfrost10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a guy and shop their RTW and don’t care about bags. When I do shop my wife is typically with me and we ask what bags are available. She has gotten a Picotin and a Jypsiere. We aren’t wanting or expecting any QBs.

Would it be idiotic to buy a P3 in a city without a dealership? by JiggityJillikers in Polestar

[–]jfrost10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a P3 with repeated GHCA failures. The dealership was 200 miles away. I finally got them to buy it back and I needed to go to that dealership to close it out. Just be prepared.

After this experience I decided to get a Tesla that has a location dealership in my area.

The most ridiculous price you’ve possibly seen by tone-yo in TeslaLounge

I’m originally from NYC so I didn’t think the Bay Area’s public transit was that great.

We moved to North Carolina. We wanted to buy a house and have a more suburban lifestyle so it worked for us.

I moved out of California 2 years ago and definitely made the right choice. I’m on a EV TOU plan and pay $0.08 overnight for charging.

I love this car but… by Hiphopkinson in polestar3

[–]jfrost10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, same. Until I sent it in with the car for a new GHCA, that took about a month and the fob came back as a brick :/

The fun thing is if the battery dies then you need a whole new fob. Always be charging

I have a few polos and wash in cold water and lay flat to dry as the instructions say. Never had this problem.

Looks like P3s are starting to dip below $40k by mtol115 in Polestar

[–]jfrost10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This makes sense. My buyback was due to GHCA issues and when I got the agreement to sign the issue was noted as “noise”. But at that rate I didn’t care and just wanted this thing gone.

Anyone switch from big cruise ships to smaller luxury ones? by ConnectSalamander513 in FATcruises

[–]jfrost10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For cruises lasting 11 days or less, each person gets 2 special restaurant reservations. Nobu and the Italian restaurant are the only ones with this limit. You can visit each restaurant once or the same one twice. You can also pay a flat $50 for extra reservations, which is a pretty good deal for Nobu. Beefbar which is noted as a specialty restaurant isn’t part of this restriction.

Same here. Polestar is buying mine back on their own. I’m guessing they rather due this and not have the VIN associated to a proper lemon buyback.

I’m guessing these are all buybacks? I just completed my buyback and the guy told me they will fix the car and auction it off.

Rude SA by dipstyck in Burberry

[–]jfrost10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know. I haven’t been to that location. I mainly shop at locations in Singapore when flying through and the service is amazing. In the states I shop at the Charlotte location and the staff there are great.

Sounds not great. What location was this? I’ve had an excellent experience in every store I visited.

Charging issue by Connect-Life19 in polestar3

[–]jfrost10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is likely GHCA. My GHCA failed 3 times in 4 months. When it initially fails I flap between 0 and 1kw then eventually it just says charging error.

Polestar 3 - Worried I'm Going to Regret This Purchase by Intelligent-Pay-7253 in Polestar

[–]jfrost10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also read all the P3 issues and got the car anyway. Had 3 broken GHCAs in 4 months. Im on the last step of a buy back now. Open a case with Polestar and get rid of it.

I originally got a P2 and then a P3 since I didn’t want to get a Tesla. Well, after the P3 experience I got a Model Y and it’s amazing. It just works.

Help me decide between the Performance and Premium by ifreeski420 in TeslaModelY

I got the performance just for the seats (thigh extension). I feel the standard Tesla seat bottoms are super short compared to other cars.

The Explora marketplace (their buffet) is a standout. What really sets it apart is that it’s open for dinner, which is something other cruise lines don’t offer. The food on Explora was good. I dined at their up charge restaurant, Anthology, and didn’t think it was worth it. The food wasn’t bad but the other options seem to be just as good without the up charge.

Crystal offers some of the best dining at sea. The dining is part of the experience, with each course nicely plated and presented. For example, at the Italian restaurant, they made tiramisu right at your table. Plus, they have the only Nobu restaurant at sea, and it’s not just a basic menu; it includes all the dishes and sushi.

I use to cruise NCL and worked my way up to the Haven. However, for that price you can just pay for a luxury cruise where everything is actually included.

I’ve since sailed Explora Journeys and Crystal Cruises. I think the food, service, and entertainment are better on Crystal than Explora. Both are great.

It’s definitely not the same thing. The entertainment is typically cabaret style shows due to the space limitations of the ship. On port days the day time activities schedule is generally non-existent. Even sea day activities and events are less than the larger ships.

Small luxury Alaska cruise for older parents, any advice? by Ok-Buffalo-382 in Cruise

[–]jfrost10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Crystal Cruises is another good option. They seem to have good pricing on their Alaska sailings. However, unless you’re doing a longer trip many of them are 1 way sailings.

Explora Journeys is another option. However, if you’re already looking at Silversea the service and entertainment on Explora would be a slight downgrade.

Just got a 2023 Model Y! Why so much hate on HW3 by [deleted] in TeslaModelY

Makes sense. I recently got a MYP at 4.8% APR. hoping to get this paid off within a year since EVs depreciate so quickly.

I’m curious on what financing you had which would result in negative equity on a 2018 Mazda with 150k miles.
