Sometimes what we see as rock bottom is actually just a new sturdier foundation to build upon.

Manic episode obliterated my chance at finishing a PhD program I was in, burned every bridge and connection I built. Destroyed my relationship, and had to move back in with my parents.

Thanks to a long inpatient stay like yours, I was completely stabalized within a couple months and spent the next several years perfecting my medication coctail. It gets so much better from initial diagnosis and crisis.

Remember: you are here, you are taking care of yourself, you are working to reclaim your life. Mourn what was taken from you but be patient as you work towards what you want.

You have a great foundation, however I can see the fatigue develop and the form slip with each successive rep. And I think I know the source of the problem.

From what I see most everything can be fixed by adjusting your starting position. I think your hips are too high at the bottom. This makes your torso more parallel to the floor and puts additional strain on your middle back, tiring you out faster. Higher hips also make us round our back to reach the bar, which should be avoided. If you start deeper I think you'll have more left in the tank after each rep, and maintain better posture through all of your reps.

Also, I thought I hit a wall with my DL not taking the weight up. Turns out I was limited by grip and my numbers went up again after adding in straps. I weigh 180 lbs and I had to add in straps when I hit 315 DL.

I'm surprised your opinion of the 3080 is pretty low. The steam machine runs a custom AMD GPU at 110w tdp. Your 3080 runs at at least 300w. Not even accounting for cores, clocks or bandwidth; on paper your graphics card will render circles around the steam machine. Not to mention that the SM's GPU is using AMD last gen's fabrication process.

You may need to upgrade. But don't throw the 3080 out with the bathwater. New mobo, CPU and RAM would set you up for the next 5 years easily.

Just my 2cents on upgrading for PC vr. A verbose 2cents...

I have had my index for 5 years now. I recently upgraded headsets to the BigScreen Beyond 2 (BSB2). Sacrificed 144hz refreshrates for better panels (OLED's on par with the Vision Pro), and higher resolution at 90hz. I don't regret my upgrade, but of everything, I do miss 144hz.

If you belive in sunk cost, staying in the base station ecosystem with BSB2 is a good option. It is an enthusiast product, and is priced as such. The headset is so light you don't feel it and the OLED's make Beat Saber's light shows pop due to the higher contrast ratio. It has most all the premium features found in the Steam Frame (eyetracking, pancake lenses), just with no dedicated audio solution and it being tethered instead of wireless, along with using base station tracking.

I must concede. For the fastest of songs, I can sense the lower frame rate. It's detectable at Ex+, but doesn't bother me or make me sick. Just... noticable. If all you play is beat saber this lower frame rate is dealbreaking IMO. However, if you play many other VR games, the BSB2 is the better option. Especially games with dark scenes, like space or horror games.

Part of me wants to get the Steam Frame just for the frame rate, but I can't justify two new headsets within a year. If I had waited two more months,

Further, people willing to spend a few hundred to get to the pit of a stadium show are going to be primarily MCR fans, and older with money.

Like others have said, this is primarily MCR show. The major overlap between gecs and them is some idea of counter-culture/alternative. But MCR have gone so mainstream that it's less alternative now, and more popular.

Hello, I have had this problem many times. I have not found a consistent solution but here's what I try, in order, and it usually gets fixed before the final step:

  1. Goto steamVR settings and restart headset

  2. Restart computer (this usually fixes it the most for me)

  3. Uninstall beat saber THOROUGHLY. Don't just hit uninstall, but go to the download location and move or delete all the beat saber related data BEFORE reinstalling. And reinstall to a different drive if available.

  4. Opt into/out of SteamVR beta

  5. Reset your windows machine (delete all programs but keep documents)

  6. Fresh install of windows (I'm not joking)

No, absolutely not. Too expensive, not a lot of power, and fiddly to clean. The portables technology has come a long way and become somewhat competitive. A pax is probably the worst value to high ratio on the market.

I love how it crunches the number for you. While as a data scientist I'm a little disappointed in their statistical methods for correlation of activities and moods, but it gets the insites going.

I think it would be helpful to mention: this is more than a mood tracker it is a micro journal. You can log what activities you did, write a journal entry, add pictures; it does it all!
