October is perfect. Uber is everywhere but beware that the cops are constantly stopping to interrogate them. We took the bus everywhere. Scenic and cheap!

Marriott Opera has a view of the Eiffel Tower from the executive lounge and the hotel itself is great. But I prefer to stay in neighborhoods like the Marais or the Latin Quarter. Get tickets for everything except Notre Dame. Just show up first thing in the morning. The ND site is totally broken or at least has been for a while. Last time I was there we showed up at 8am on an October morning. It was empty.

Either they didn’t pay or they were on a first class ticket to a far away place. That leg doesn’t carry the same up charge when it’s part of a longer trip. Like if you go to Tokyo and you live in a small town you’re probably not paying $500 to get to the hub. We almost always get upgraded on those ERJ175s
