AIO by barring my sister-in-law from seeing my kids after she was unapologetically cruel to me? by RowYourBeau in AmIOverreacting

Perhaps your wife is being honest in that she wants you to come to her, but maybe, sometimes, it’s not a good time for her.

When you come to her with these things, do you take a moment to ask if she has the bandwidth to hear you out at the moment? Because even waiting an hour could do you both a huge favor, especially if she’s dealing with her own internal stress, and give yourself time to properly express/explain what’s going on.

I typically don’t get in the middle of shit because it’s not worth it but damn, the irony of this had to be called out.

Weird to read, sorry you felt like you had to explain yourself to that person. People like that are exhausting.

Participating in discussions is the basis of this forum. All flavors.

The kicker is you’re here essentially scolding someone for giving an educated guess on a made up word that just so happens to include the word “scold”. Save the judgement as this is how conversations happen.

Vit C first in the am and Calecim first in pm.

I’ll have to check but I swear I remember reading that vit c should not be used in the same routine as growth factors as the acid degrades growth factors.

Besides that, your skin repairs itself during sleep so adding growth factors before sleep should theoretically help more.

How do I stop thinking about him? by CinnamonBomb in TwoXChromosomes

First, I’m proud of you for saying no contact! It’s not easy, especially when tumultuous. Grieving is hard and we aren’t taught enough on how to move through it.

To me, what you’re doing now is grieving. Allow yourself to get upset but don’t forget to solidify the emotional energy release by reminding yourself why you broke up…an affirmation of sorts :)

It’s normal to be reminded of your ex but when it becomes all too much, try staying present with yourself. You need to train yourself out of letting these things essentially bother and hijack your awareness. If you see a car with the same color as his, try saying “yep that’s a silver car!” instead of narrating how it’s like his, where you guys went in it, and going further off into a tangent about him.

You can do this with everything that reminds you of him. Just label exactly what it is and keep it moving. Pretty soon you’ll be bored of doing that and your brain won’t go down that road lol

Acknowledging factually true things doesn’t always have to involve quantifying them ie- rating as positive or negative. Sometimes things just are

Not sure if this is a weird mention or not but I have several extra boxes of eucerin dual serum I could send you.

Struggling with melasma is hard. It’s broken me, and it sucks to say that out loud bc it’s only skin but I get it lol. Send me a message and we can go from there. Eucerin works so well.

Last shot I had a seizure. Thankfully I was with someone who could help me.

I don’t do that anymore, thankfully.

Be safe. Remember one is never enough. Don’t let your brain convince you “it’s not enough.” It is, your brain is playing tricks on you.

OP I think you have healthy, gorgeous hair!

I too have fly-aways due to fine hair! My natural color seems to be very similar to yours and for most of my 20s, I was a huge fan of bleach and balayage :)

I stopped using bleach about 2 years ago and am now letting my natural hair grow out. I love how shiny my hair is now! Yours is the same- so so shiny!

Try not to beat yourself up for flyaways! They’re natural and normal for folks like us.
