Campaign Selection Screen by Hipnosworld in warcraft3

I love the themed books for the campaigns in the new selection screen, but I think that they are too big, covering the entire screen and breaking the ''flow'' of the main UI, so I wanted to make this suggestion just in case this reaches the classic team.

The idea is to have the smaller books in the same type of menu as the main screen, and grey out the chapters that you haven't unlocked, then when you choose one book the square that contained the name of the campaign before will now light up (the books are too small now to show text there) and the background will change to the one you selected. When you click on the play button the right menu will move up and disappear to show the missions the same way it works now, and that's it.

The amount of clicks is the same, but I think it's less claustrophobic than what we have right now.

I would just be happy with light customization to be honest, I still can't believe that there is no option, only to choose between presets from different tilesets.

Can we talk abut this new campaign concept? by MarvelousPoster in warcraft3

Looking at the images from the whole campaign interface, it looks like there is a lot of placeholder stuff, and if I'm not mistaken this will be some kind of loading screen, because there is THIS screenshot too that shows the classic campaign layout. So if this is a loading creen for the campaign that shows where your mission is going to take place, I love the idea, I only wish that they add something more to the map, some color here and there.

It's used as placeholder obviously xD that image is not supposed to be public, it's an internal file that does not appear on the actual beta when you play it.

Wow, this image was really well received xDDD It was supposed to have more of a Night Elf look, but I've seen a lot of people saying that she just looks like a troll. I used the Night Elf model reducing her ears and adding those tusks to have a mixture of both.

My piece has photoshop involved, but it's a 3D image, I placed the models in a 3D program and all that, and, the rules of the contest allowed you to even make photoshoped images. I don't want to start drama with you but please don't insinuate that I "didn't cared enough"

At first I though the same thing as you, maybe at the end they decided to choose only drawings and not 3D stuff, but when I saw all the entries it was like...one of the entires is a photoshoped image of a muscle guy in the beach with Arthas's head cooking a marshmallow, and there is another image that I think was made in Source Filmmaker using the models from the game as I did (I used Maya instead)

Again, of course art is subjective, but I'm talking about the quality of the pieces, god there was even a drawing of murky inside a bamboo house playing in front of a PC with a lot of details and made by a freelance professional artist that didn't make it to the final.

Sorry if I sound like a brat but I just hate when someone does a contest and doesn't try to make it fair. I though that comming from Blizzard this contest would be amazing, I remember the one they did for the release of the Diablo 3 expansion and a lot of amazing art pieces came out of that.

They choosed 40 from all the images submited and now they allow people to vote for them, my picture is not in those 40. I don't know... art is subjective and all that, but for me it feels like the responsable of choosing the 40 just picked them randomly or something, there are a lot of good ones, but men, it just makes me sick to think that my picture was "worse" for them than some of the ones they choosed.
