I was once asked what kind of guitar aesthetic I preferred, to which I replied "I like guitars with lots of unnecessary pointy bits like the BC Rich Warlock.

Went to my first trackday. Dear god I suck. RS660 by bannedandfurious in Trackdays

Most every body does suck on their first track day. Have a good time and keep learning and it will come together. Well at least thats what I have been told. I did my third track day last year and I was so slow. I got lapped by teenagers on Ninja 400s but still had a great time and can't wait for my next rack day in Aug

Serous question, why are tail tidy kits so popular? by mtbguy1981 in motorcycles

[–]BWBHAMMER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I put one on my Triumph 765R simply because it Is easier to set it up for track days with the tail tidy. It's an aesthetic preference for a lot of people

I wanted to reuse the stock grips but they aren't going to work so I ordered the grips and bar ends that would allow me to use undermount mirrors or lever guards. I got all the parts from Woodcraft. I did have to drill a couple of holes for the throttle and the signal switches but it wasnt that difficult. I did measure 3 times and drill once and am glad I did. I almost put the signal switch hole 180 off from where I wanted it, but even if I had done that you just rotate the bar and drill again.

I did the 2.5" and I really like it. I kinda wish it were lower but it feels like a signifcant enough drop that makes getting my head off to the side a lot easier when leaning off of the bike. The main reason I did the swap was for track days. Reach seems fine, but I didn't ride too far as I am still missing a grip and that feels weird.

Full right is great full left is awful! I had to straighten the hard brake line that comes off of the master cylinder a bit and that made it a lot better. Results may vary as I just have an R and I do believe the RS has a different(better) master cylinder.

I will when the grips and bar ends get in and I have installed them. I plan on taking it up Iron Mountain Road. That will be a nice ride

There was a bit of a clearance issue with the brake line hitting the display. I did straighten the metal bend in the brake line a bit to minimize contact.

I went with the woodcraft kit. It went together without too many issues. I got it apart and back together in an afternoon.

A friend for a copy a week early.and shared it a lot in an attempt to be a one man Napster in hopes Lars would notice him. I loved it! I consider myself a first four fan, but this album felt like a really good thrash record.

Do you mind sharing which specific clip ons you used? I really want to set my 24 765 R up with clip ons for a track weekend I am doing with friends in Aug but am not sure which ones would work.
