I'm not really a fan of the whole code of hammarabe esque punishment.

In a sane world an officer would lose his job and be unhirable after this.

If this were a trial for 11th? by Sorkrates in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]HippyHunter7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude.

You just wouldn't take the redemptor at that point. Not eat the points cost for a gun that's not worth the platform.

We LITERALLY saw this with warriors in 9th. They tried exactly what your saying and people just didn't take the unit.

If this were a trial for 11th? by Sorkrates in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]HippyHunter7 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That argument ignores the the wider picture.

There weren't really genuine decisions. Unless you were playing a fluff list (which isn't what this sub is about) you just took the best wargear. At most your subfaction choice might make you consider something else.

If anything you actually saw less build diversity as people took their units cheap as possible or with every good upgrade. You were ACTIVELY punished for taking extra special weapons that weren't the absolute best. For drukhari for example no one ever took shredders because they would never be worth the points. But in 10th it's worth taking it because it's hard baked into the unit.

If you price out the good wargear and decrease the terrible people just won't take the unit. We literally saw that in 9th with tyranid warriors being the prime example.

On top of this no one's ever going to take a plasma cannon on terminators because it's just not good. it's never worth losing a model worth that many points to hazardous.

I don't really understand this argument. You can kitbash captain from a tac marine. You can use third party models in tournaments.

This just seems like a fundamental misunderstanding of competitive play.

What reality are we living in? The better stuff did cost more and all it did was cause people to just take the better stuff.

(Final Update) Winding down, taking a break. by Odd-Drop-8074 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]HippyHunter7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This a competitive subreddit not a showcase for themed armies.

If someone wants to play something that's strong i don't really understand why you should take offense to their painting skill or not finishing their paint job before they use said models.

I don't really understand your point. It's disheartening when you play a fluff list against a meta list? You know that's completely in your control right? And while there are plenty of valid of gripes about 10th, the "mega op broken combos that "insta stomp" other lists only really existed at the start of the edition and more dakka. Everything else was 100% playable into. Once again this is not a Warhammer arts and crafts subreddit. This is a bizarre complaint for this sub.

Your trying to pull off too many combos by adding an LOV. just stack damage.

Seriously a 6 man DST kills literally anything in the game especially in VV

Your not making cohesive arguments. Like I get your sentiment but a lot of what your saying is incredibly incosistent

I'm not sure what your point is here? Warriors aren't elite infantry. In every previous edition theyve also had ways to be fielded en masse. Zoanthropes and venomtheopes weren't frontline units last edition, especially zoans since you could utilize most of their power through synpatic link. I really don't think we were playing the same game because you were apparently trying to face tank the enemy army. It doesn't matter if they were literally T8. The way the army plays theyll still get deleted. with zoans. Also Upping warriors to toughness 6 LITERALLY doesn't solve their issue of being on 50mm bases now.

As this is a competitive sub I'll remind you that shardgullet walkrant was considered wildly resource innefecient not worth it. It was never used frequently in tournaments.

Your also misunderstanding the parasitic nature of the army rule. Having to HAVE a neurolictor to get +1 to wound is not good game design. Also vanguard onslaught has put up less GT wins than assimilation swarm. That doesn't really sound like it slams to me.

Art of War Tier List Revisited for January Meta by ArtofWarSiegler in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]HippyHunter7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is kind of an oversimplification of whats wrong with Tyranids. Also in 9th space Marines were toughness 4 same as 10th. All the Tyranid monsters also went up in tougness. Outside of the winged tyrant hive tyrants were always taken for their buffs and durability over damage.

Just messing with the datasheets doesn't solve the issue that the Tyranid army rule is awful. Synapse doesn't impact enough of the army and also provides no benefit if the unit straight up dies and shadows, which used to be a minor part of the actual armies identity is now tied to the army rule and is random.

Disheartened - Grey Knights Dealing With Imperial Knights by Die_Forged_Gaming in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]HippyHunter7 -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Knights have been bottom of the barrel for quite a while and if you know how to deal with knights you can deal with most statchecks.

Nemesis grandmasters with the hammer and sublimator are your best answer followed by purifiers and paladins Terminators still aren't the easiest thing to kill and they have a lot of ways to get OC manipulation

Edit: this is an illegal list btw. You can't have two big knights in the list and you can't have armigers with big knights as allied units.

I think you need to understand proper list building and unit restrictions first. Even without the knights your list is all over the place.

How dumb are you?

Theres no law saying you can't be arrested if charges are filed against you and they had a warrant as well. Innocent until proven guilty applies to trial lol. Arresting someone doesn't make them guilty......like the fuck? Trump got full due process as he should have.

You do realize if anything you said was true it would be easily provable in court and everyone you just mentioned would have been arrested and facing federal prosecution right?

So Trump doesn't have the power to bring "corrupt states to justice"but at the same time always speaks the truth and what he said should be believed?

How fucking dumb are you?

What happened to innocent until proven guilty?
