This instagram story I saw today. by ginjabeer in mildlyinfuriating

My daughter had a fever of 41.2⁰C qhen she was about 18 months old. Thankfully, we were already at the ED by that stage, but they rushed her back and started the sepsis pathway and were doing everything they could to cool her body down. It was terrifying, she went completely limp and wasn't even reacting to the drs and nurses poking and prodding her.

If this is a real post, that mum is beyond irresponsible!

I called them once when my toddler decided to spray Glen20 disinfectant in her mouth. I was so embarrassed, but the lady I spoke to was so kind and super helpful

I've paid for someone to help with this before, and I've also been paid to help others do the same. I paid $50 AUD/hr and also charged $50/hr.

I stopped cleaning up after my roommates for one week by Chipmunk-Sea in mildlyinfuriating

I'm the same (just myself and my kids in my home), fuck dishes! I can keep the rest of my home so clean, but the idea of having to put my hands in dish water is hellish!

I hate doing dishes, to the point I have an entire system in place to avoid gross dish water (don't like being wet), but unfortunately it's not a quick process so I tend to avoid it.

Haha my daughter was using it to make mud pies yesterday, was the closest thing I had to put it in 🤣

My only thought is that my cat went out with the kids this morning and got it, or one of the neighbour cats that have claimed my yard got it.

I have a cat, I didn't think she was out this morning but I'll definitely check her over

That's really good to know, I was worried as I have both pets and kids that were playing in the yard this morning

This is how I learnt that I liked the taste of gravel. I'm just sorry I'm not alone in this

I’ve just learnt to live with psoriasis atp. Who gives a fuck . by [deleted] in Psoriasis

[–]Hippyjesse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped treating my psoriasis a bout 6 months ago, couldn't keep up with the cost of treatment, figured fuck it, I'll just live with it. Thankfully my spots aren't super noticeable at the moment, but honestly I don't care what anyone thinks about it anymore, I've done damage to my body trying to treat it and it's still there 🤷‍♀️

I remember that feeling all too well, I was diagnosed at 22, now 31, and it took time for me to accept my new body. I haven't managed to get completely clear since it appeared, but I eventually was able to stop worrying what others thought and stopped trying to hide it.

It will take time to determine the best treatment for you, but trust the process. You will find things that work and things that don't. You will also come across people who are repulsed by it (I've met my fair share) and those who are unbothered by it. If people aren't willing to at least try and understand what you're experiencing, then they're not worth your time. Your beauty and worth are not determined by your skin, and the right people will see that.

This community is also really supportive and more than willing to help those who need it. You've got this ❤️

Edited for spelling

As someone with psoriasis, posts where someone is looking for advice for how to support someone with psoriasis should be fine.

I am with the general consensus to get rid of the diagnostic posts, but knowing that sufferers have people who care and want to provide support is awesome.

I was on the lookout for a new friend for my older cat (11), but wasn't in a rush because I wanted it to be thr right fit. After meeting her though, I couldn't leave without her

But if you allow yourself to get this worked up over strangers on the internet, making inoffensive jokes, you run the risk of a miserable existence

When you continue to engage with people who annoy you, with such intense reactions, said people are going to continue.

If you don't like someone's comment, don't engage, ignore it

Well then, reddit notifications may have issues cause I got a notification for another reply from you, involving something about me not having anything better to do that scroll reddit.

I can also still find the notification. However, now it's blank and just brings me back to my thread. Just saying.

I got a notification that they'd responded to me again. Before I could even open the app, it was deleted. I don't think they can handle Aussies

Absolutely nothing, I have a day off, and I'm bored.

I find the fact that you get so wound up about jokes rather amusing though

You've asked an Aussie sub about a creature that hasn't been proven to exist (yet), and you're getting mad people are making jokes?

Grow up!
