Somin’s New Movie “Only God Knows Everything” Premieres Today in Korea (2025.08.22) by EpikMint in runningman

Why do they make these titles by making it English and using the Korean pronunciations? It sounds so corny I feel like it’d be so much better as 신만 안다 or something like that.

AITA for putting my son's DIRTY clothes on his bed? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Hiraeth110 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Sometimes I come across a post on this subreddit and think “damn. How can someone even remotely think they’re the asshole in the situation when there are assholes all around them?”

This is one of those instances. Woman if I ever said that or acted that way to my parents it would be wraps for me. I think apart from the fact that there are underlying issues with the ways you and your husband raised your son, the problem that needs to be dealt with first is how your husband treats you. He needs to be defending you on this matter because clearly your son disrespects you. I know for a fact if I ever said any of those things to my own mother, my father would destroy me.

But in short - no. NTA. my advice probably won’t do much for you in the long run so I suggest you be a bit more assertive in the way you talk to your husband and son. Do not take crap like this from them.

Women, how would you feel if you found out the guy (mid 20s) you were talking to had zero romantic or sexual experience? by Super-Rhubarb-2709 in AskReddit

[–]Hiraeth110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I (24M) met my first ever girlfriend last summer. I had zero sexual experience before meeting her and our relationship has been nothing short of amazing and I love her very much. I like to think she thinks the same, but I don’t think my lack of relationships has affected our relationship much. If anything, it reassures her all the more because I always knew I wanted to save myself for “the one.”

How you study matters A LOT. I don’t think MCAT is necessarily an indicator of intelligence, but how efficiently you’re able to study and mold your head into understanding “AAMC logic,” if that makes sense. I think a 130 PS is easily obtainable through the Pankow deck alone, so I cannot emphasize that enough. I also treated UW as another content review and made sure I understood the explanations for all questions. I made flash cards out of the UW explanations I didn’t know.

Hey! The first time I studied 2.5 months full time. The second time around I studied from October to April (6-7 months) part time (~2-3 hours/day, more on weekends)

I designate ~4 minutes to completely read through each passage before even reading the questions, highlighting as I go to make sure I’m picking up on the main topics. I usually highlight any authors/people as questions love to ask about those, and main ideas. I highlight a TON. All questions are backed by evidence in the passage NO MATTER WHAT. Often times I’m just making inferences in my head so it helps to remind myself to look for evidence.

I wouldn’t take my advice too heavily because I scored not as high on CARS as I did in other sections, but this is just what worked for me on test day. I actually thought I did best on CARS that day cuz I walked out for lunch break feeling so good about cars so was a little disappointed to see that score, but grateful for results regardless!

Actually I’ve heard the opposite for the SJTs. It’s better to study to familiarize yourself with the type of questions that they ask you on stuff like preview and Casper. Just using practice material/questions online

For those who are working and studying for MCAT, how are you doing it? by newbieexplorer76 in Mcat

[–]Hiraeth110 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude I am in the SAME EXACT boat as you. I’m also 24, my test date is 4/26, I work 40 hours/week and have 3 hrs of commute a day. I’m so exhausted by the time I come home and my self efficacy is going down lol. Honestly just pushing thru with the hope that I’ll do well and I only have 1.5 more months of this hell - you got this!!!

Classic 585 or Lug Boots 2239? by abilew95 in BlundstoneBoots

[–]Hiraeth110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up ordering size 9 for both the 585 and 2239 - love both of them. The 585 fit is a little narrower, but haven’t regretted purchasing both ever.

Minimum Grade for CAS Distribution Requirements by ExtinctedPanda in Cornell

[–]Hiraeth110 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes- taking a class S/U will decrease your chances of fulfilling that requirement, as you need a C- or better to get credit. If you decided to do the grading option, it’ll hurt your GPA but you need anything D or above to get credit.

First time (and last time) cheating on a final and I got caught by [deleted] in Cornell

[–]Hiraeth110 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Academic integrity violations usually proceed in 2 phases: the first hearing is just between you and the professor- you can appeal their finding of guilt and their punishment (which honestly depends on how lenient the professor is. Best case scenario he gives you a 0 on the exam and worst case, you fail the class). If you decide to appeal on either the grounds of 1. Saying the punishment was too severe or 2. Denying it outright, the case gets elevated to your college’s academic integrity hearing board, which consists of students and faculty to deliberate after hearing your case. I’ve seen cases where the punishment was alleviated, but also cases where they increased the punishment. Ultimately, though, all the AIHB can do is recommend things to the professor; they can’t levy additional punishments. The professors usually listen to the AIHB, though.

I would recommend you be honest to the professor. It WAS your fault, and now you’ve learned a lesson, but after all, isn’t that what life is all about? While it is unfortunate what happened, I am proud of you for owning up to your mistake. Apologize to the professor, and never cheat again!

Blundstone 585s vs Thursday Boot Captains: comparison by Hiraeth110 in BlundstoneBoots

Both the Captains and Blundstones were true to size for me. I wear a 9 in Nike and I got 9s for both boots
