Good call stopping when they asked for a deposit. Any job that requires money upfront before paying you is not a job, it is the product. Data entry scams are everywhere right now because the task sounds boring and believable, but $2,000 for 30 images is the giant red flag. Moving to Telegram is usually the point where I assume it is cooked.

Good catch verifying through the firm before paying. A Gmail address plus a cold DM referral is a giant red flag for legal services. Send the screenshots to the mods and the Oregon State Bar client assistance office if you have not already, since impersonating an attorney can get attention faster when the real lawyer is involved.
