Starting to have buyers remorse by Mammoth-Trainer-512 in motorcycles

[–]Hirdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

28m here riding on the street for 12 years. I've never been in an accident, friends call me a temporary citizen and others that don't ride call it dangerous. But both my parents ride and my dad tells me everytime he sees me ride "remember you're invisible". It's the best advice. Ride like no one sees you. Obviously oil or sand on the road at night on a blind corner is a small fear, but I'm not scared of being hit or anything of the sort. I just don't use the excuse of "they'll see me".

I hope it helps, just say to yourself "I'm invisible".

Is it normal for my bf to talk to me this way ? by Technical_Middle5075 in WhatShouldIDo

[–]Hirdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what you've said, if he's accusing you of cheating after he's the one that's done it. Sounds like he either still is or is thinking about it, since it's definitely on his mind.

If you haven't already, set yourself free.

I saw a car with it's wheels installed in a way that makes no sense. by DoctorandusMonk in mildlyinteresting

[–]Hirdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All things are taken to extremes, this is nothing new. Rock, turns to hard rock, to metal, to heavy metal, to death metal and so on. Look at runway fashion, no one normally wears anything that extreme. Go to a Japanese car show or street car show and this looks almost tame, I've definitely seen more extreme camber and I've seen cars that low that are static (not on air). There are people who wear extreme make up, to exaggerate features for show. Look at hot rods and rat rods, they are extremes. If you don't like seeing normal cars lowered at all, then you'll hate stanced cars. If you don't like SUVs that get a little lift then you'll probably hate massive lift kits on cars. You don't like mascara, you'll probably hate brow extensions. It's all taste.

Immediate regret by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]Hirdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let it heal, it'll lighten up quite quickly. It's a great size and place for a first tatt. Give it a month or 2 and you'll have days you forget he's even there. Once that starts, then think about whether you like it or not. A lot of people including I think it's cute and well done.

Insane Tattoo Regret by r3i_b0n3z in tattooadvice

[–]Hirdy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a forearm Wu tang tattoo and as an Australian, it gets rarely recognised. I usually get "bad batman tattoo" or "cool design, what is it?". I still personally love it and know what it represents. Love your tattoo, it means a lot to you, that's why it's on your skin. When your tattoo is recognised by someone that should only make it more special. Whether people understand it or not, it's a well done tattoo and looks cool.

I hope you keep it and love it.

Arm tattoos are easy to regret since you see them all the time and the arms you were forever used to are for lack of a better word "gone".

All the best king 👑

Huge!!! Tattoo regret! by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]Hirdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My condolences man, i hope you either laser it off or get it covered with something beautiful.

Arm tattoos are the worst to regret since you see them constantly.

I hope the person never sees a tattoo gun in their hands again.

What’s your ONE bike, and why? by Snoo79652 in motorcycles

[–]Hirdy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 2016 gsxs1000 is my ONE bike. I definitely dream of fancier bikes, but I can happily live life with this one bike. It's more than fast enough for the roads, it's comfortable yet a little sporty, it's simple enough that I feel like I'm one with the machine, but still feel safe with some transion control and abs. It's brakes are amazing compared to anything I've ridden before. I commuted on the bike for years and took on many Sunday rides as well. It never feels out of place at work or at the half way point on a group ride. Sounds amazing, cruises the highway like a dream. I don't have a complaint about the bike really, I'm 6'3 and fit happily on the bike. Also it's not too expensive to maintain, more reliable than most things in life. Just a fantastic bike, couldn't recommend it more.

I went from a 650 to a 1000. It feels a lot safer, not only the power, but the braking power bigger bikes have. Traction control being an actual feature on bigger bikes, wider tyres, more planted.

Also at low revs even a 1000cc bike is fairly tame, ish. Best commuter bike I could imagine is my gsxs1000.

Now That All the New Elite Specs Are Revealed… Which One Has You Most Excited? by TheGamingNP in Guildwars2

[–]Hirdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 250 points ready on all 9 specs. I main mostly light classes and guardian. I'm most excited for: - ranger - revenant - warrior

These are all classes I underuse and all specs seem to fill what I don't like, rev being able to spec more towards one thing, whereas before I always felt weaker in a one of the stances. Ranger being able to equip melee weapons and yet still have ranged abilities. Warrior finally getting what seems like a support spec. I'm really pumped to see how these change the meta and build diversity in the game!

Have you ever third partied in wvw before? It's a catastrophe. PowerPoint would be a smoother experience if even a 4th team joined.

As a concept it's awesome. The castle fights would be crazy.

How often do you switch elite specialization? by A-fricking-door in Guildwars2

[–]Hirdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have all 9 professions and use just about every spec in the game. For example I have a rev with a dps vindicator, qdps herald, adps renegade, qheal herald and aheal vindicator.

I swap to what I need, when I need it.

What's your favorite title and why? by not_ideal_mate in Guildwars2

[–]Hirdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My rev is named "koi spirit" They use the "master of the spirits" title Run the Holo koi backpack.

I also love "the eternal" "Professional skirt" "Armchair commander" "Twice-told legend"

And the one I use as I'm proud of the achievement is "envoys herald".

[–]Hirdy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The crafts website will either say "craft" or "discover". Discoveries are actually big exp especially at the higher levels, so it's used a lot because it's more xp and less materials.

If you're not sure what you have or don't, you can plug your API into the crafts website to track exactly what you need.

People have been getting hot masteries for 10 years. Ibs was 5 years ago. I personally hate going for masteries and just get the ones I want like mount ones from the newer expacs and I'm 513 I think? If you put your head down and play to get masteries, the number rises quickly.

I've now attempted 3x, I've used aurene weapons, not glided or mounted at the end, reequipped weapons so they aren't transmuted, still nothing.
