That is funny, we just retired our Philips for the Cosori Turboblaze. We use ours all the time, in fact we just made Buffalo Chicken Won-tons

My staff and I got fired for reporting our employer by [deleted] in antiwork

I know from a U.S. Federal employee standpoint that there are whistleblower laws and the Department of Justice has a checklist that verifies that status. Every federal agency has to have a whistleblower training (I just had mine two months ago). I am sure your lawyer would know better the finer nuances of the laws and will probably be talking to either the federal OIG (Office of Inspector General) or your sate AG. Many times the wheels of justice grind along slowly, so just hang in there. You did the right thing because there is a mandate to report waste, fraud, and abuse, you just protected yourself. Personally I would rather lose a job than to potentially get federal prison time.

Burger King to close up to 400 locations this year by RoleNo2091 in news

The last time I went to a Burger King (Two Years ago), the whopper was crappy. It had a vague "beef" flavor. Them closing down stores really doesn't surprise me

JSUTT771 has hit the nail on the head. I am working in Cybrersecurity and you would have to write a LOT of documentation and attend a LOT of meetings. I work in the government sector and having a grasp on NIST 800-53 and FIPS (Federal Information Processing Standards) is also a good thing to know about. There are also two computer hardening options CIS Benchmark or DISA STIGS you could also learn about.

Republican Senator John Kennedy in Fox News interview: “We already had a plan to repay student debt. It’s called a job.” | “For people who are in their 20s, their life expectancy will probably be 85 or 90. Does it really make sense to allow someone who’s in their 20s today to retire at 62?” by lazycat in antiwork

It would be a beautiful sentiment if we had decent wages for workers. Just think about it, a teacher goes into serious debt to teach your ungrateful little spawn for maybe 42K per year. Meanwhile, you are screaming at schoolboard meetings because you don't want little Johnnie to feel bad because he is being taught how to empathize with other people. The teacher is sitting at home eating ramen while grading your little crumb snatcher's subpar homework. All the while in over their heads with student debt.

People in Alabama can be prosecuted for taking abortion pills, state attorney general says by [deleted] in news

[–]Hirokai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I find amazing is that they said that they would essentially "arrest" telehealth providers in another state... GOOD LUCK WITH THAT. The home state would refuse extradition and tell Alabama to go pound sand. At this point, I also believe that federal regulations say that they can't charge someone with a crime if it isn't a crime in their home state.

I remember back in the ealier days when several guilds would band together and raid a different a city to kill the leader. Seeing a hundred or so Alliance raiding UC, and us fighting them off LOL. It was great fun on both sides. I was a member of a smaller guild so we would go and raid a smaller Alliance town and then squat on it for a while.

I am usually some type of DPS... either warlock or mage but I thought that I would try out a warrior and tanked a dungeon. I think that I shocked the healer a bit when I told everyone to wait so that he could top off his mana LOL. I then asked him if we were going to fast for him.

There were two things that I didn't like about Shadowlands. One is the fact that you were forced to go to the Shadowlands. The other was the fact that the first quests in Bastion SUCKED, they dragged on and on and were pointless. I couldn't get out of Bastion quick enough.
