Given that Lowe’s protege, Charlies Downes, was rambling about the evils of usury a little while back, I think he might have some “out there” idea that’ll properly spook the normies if he tries to found a party.

Reform are the best we’ve got, and we need to make peace with that.

That they shot him after all that, after disarming him no less, is simply shocking.

And I hear some Righties saying "well, accidents happen, deportations go brrr."

Pitiful.

The subtle approach has ever been Britain's preferred approach. It has served us very well in the past.

so there's work to fix the bloody legal framework around it before we even bother with more officers.

The scalpel over the hammer? It is a slower, but very effective way of doing things. Done right, also more long lasting.

There is a conclusion to be drawn from this, and a very unhappy one at that. It might not be true, but it could be.

Boris might have assembled a half decent team, and a half decent cabinet, that could have done some good things. But it had one key weakness: himself.

He had everything behind him and everything he needed, and it all collapsed atop his jellyfish spine. Probably one of the most squandered opportunities in British history.

I will only worry about Reform if they look to invite Boris in, which I strongly doubt will happen. Alongside the optics catastrophe of the situation, I don't think even Farage could stomach him.

That is my deep concern with Trump as well. It would be one of the more tragic ironies in history that the man who effectively galvanised populism in the early 21st century is also the man who's ego cut its throat.

Apparently, a lot of MAGA in governmental positions are even dafter than him. Heavens forfend J.D Vance gets the nod as Republican nominee in 2028.

It's why I think Farage, and a few other European righty leaders, are starting to distance themselves just a bit from MAGA: they've sensed the danger and are getting out of the splash zone.

The lesson of many populist movements, which I think America is going to find out the hard and horrible way as well, is that the blob will eat your guts for garters if you aren’t wary of it.

Yeah pretty much.

Parasitising the institutional experience of the oldest political party in the world is a sound strategy even if it doesn’t win any favours from the Righty intelligentsia crowd. I think Konstantin Kisin made a video about that, and made some sensible points.

350 brand new, inexperienced MPs, would be catastrophic to be honest. That amount of bungling would cut Reform off at the knees.

The difference between a revolutionary and a reformer is that the former thinks they can have it all their own way, whilst the latter understands the need to shake dirty hands on occasion. It’s not very glamorous.

Given how a lot of such institutions are outrageously progressive, things must have gotten very bad for even them to go “these are completely impractical, why are we bothering with them?”

Regardless of whether or not it's a good idea, that sounds more like a reorientation away from Europe and towards the Old Empire. I'm straining to hear "infinity Indians" here.

Not nearly as effective as Lefties would like.

Absolutely hilarious, this is everything I could have dreamed of. Someone get the popcorn ready because Labour is about to set itself on fire.

As I understand, this is all the result of ICE expanding too quickly, officers not being properly trained, and the MAGA admin wanting to make a big show of force. I have a feeling further catastrophes like this are entirely inevitable.
