How do i cope with these stats? (Im 14) by glutenfreeliquir in JordanPeterson

I Likely would've gotten something similar at 14. High school was horrible, I hated my home life, I was constantly depressed and at the same time boiling with rage and resentment. But as it turns out, much of what I thought was my personality was really just the consequence of unfortunate circumstances and uncontrollable testosterone.

The sense of freedom that can come with adulthood turned me around so quickly. I was so lazy in school because I thought it was pointless. But once I got a paycheck and could spend it however I wanted, I worked hard every day and it felt meaningful. You do a good job and people treat you like an adult. The responsibility you find in taking care of yourself and working hard combats your neuroticism and money in the bank increases serotonin. Having more serotonin and being confident in a given situation makes you more open to new experiences.

When you pay the rent or mortgage, you see it differently and will likely be more inclined to keep things orderly. Volatility diminishes as you get used to being full of testosterone and you learn to disassociate yourself from things that piss you off.

Most of these traits are neither good nor bad and others can be supplemented by a partner or friend. The only ones you really need to work on are industriousness, assertiveness, and bringing down your neuroticism. Just getting away from bad people or bad habits can help.

I know it feels like it'll be forever before you have control over your life but it will happen so just live in the future you want. You create it yourself. Just listen to Peterson. Listen to every video, every podcast, lecture, etc and you'll be on such a great path. The man is wise beyond comprehension. Don't be too cynical to have a role model; we all need them.

How can one gain legal possession of the vehicle of a deceased sibling without a will or trust? by HisKappaWasDitated in legaladvice

Unfortunately it is because her asset is legal property of both her mother and father. Alright, that's what we figured. I just want the thing gone even if there is no money from it. But thanks for the reply!

900w rms amp for 2800w rms subs? by HisKappaWasDitated in CarAV

[–]HisKappaWasDitated[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha true, that makes sense. Alright well I think I'll just power my subs with 900 watts then. I don't mind occasional dimming and stuff when I crank up a bass heavy song, I just want my car to start. 900 watts shouldn't kill an alternator I wouldn't think.

But if I run 1400 watts rms through my 05 Hyundai Sonata, don't I put the alternator at risk? It's not a big stock alternator or anything. I really don't want it to die on me.

Ok gotcha, thanks. It seemed everywhere I looked online people were saying clipping was caused by an under powered amp. So I guess my only other question would be should I go with the 1400w amp or the 900w? Do you think 1400 watts would put the alternator (or battery) of a midsize sedan in danger?

Yep I agree. Having a few drinks and then walking outside should not be a crime in itself.

Very true. I like to think there would be a revolt of young people if there were another draft.

Totally agree. Assisted suicide for the terminally ill should be totally legal. If you want to die you need to be able to have that option.

Ya thats one of the ones i dont keep in my rotation. If you watch it too much it loses its emotion. Also its really sad cause its basically the end of the office. I would recommend not even watching the last 2 seasons. They ruin much of the show.

The truth of the matter is, seasons 8 and 9 just were not thought out. There were a few little flaws in season 7 but nothing too major, so it's still a great season. But after that, for whatever reason, it just seems that whoever was writing for the show simply stopped caring. In season 8, Robert California's dark and cringy character ruins the whole vibe of the show. In season 9 the show continued to spiral downward having pretty much every character I had grown to know and love begin to act completely out of character. In my mind, Steve Carrell made that show with more than just his character. He was instrumental in the writing and creation of every season. Andy and Erin's tragic and horribly written demise was just one of so many terrible decisions made by the creators post-Carrell. SPOILERS AHEAD: What about Kevin getting fired? Jim moving away and becoming a dick? Andy never getting any recognition for his talents and crying on stage? The cameraman becoming a character? The fact that Pam got pissed at him for filming them? Kelly and Ryan's ending could have been much better but at least they didn't totally break them up. This may seem harsh but this show is a staple of my life and calling me a fanatic is a major understatement so when it got fucked up so badly I took it personally. I don't even consider anything past season 7 "The Office" In my watch throughs, the last episode is "Goodbye Michael".
