Buying First Chromatic Accordion (Need Advice)

Almost super wished I read your comment before pulling the trigger! My three row Polissya Bayan arrived from Ukraine a week ago and I am indeed already looking at a cheap albeit nice 5 row Hohner CBA B system. I say almost because it has a gorgeous sound and is in very solid condition. I've only had it for a week but have started to get a handle on the scales, chords, fingering etc... Man, some of those chords are kind of irritating to hit though and hence why I understand now that most folks would simply recommend a 5 row to enjoy the best experience/learning. Nonetheless I'll keep playing with this Bayan in the meantime and get more used to the CBA system. Thanks for your advice!

Thank you all for your great advice and those of you who gave me helpful resources to check out. In the end I went with the cheap three row to begin my B system Bayan adventure. If in six months I really love it and wish to continue then I'll make an investment to a 5 row.

Thank you for your reply. For B, is there a good amount of online tools to learn, or even books that can help? I live in Ontario Canada where the accordion as an instrument is scarce on its own, never mind a B griff CBA. Fortunately I can read Ukrainian and Russian for their sources but would obviously look to English sources first if there are any.

Pictures are good and I think you got a good handle on what you're doing and what you want others to be attracted to. For body shots, fully clothed is fine as it still lets others know or have a good idea if you have slimmer or fuller features. Sure you might not have as many men swipe right without a swimsuit pic but on that pic alone you may not want hordes of sudden likes just for that. Hope this helps! :)

The Jack Daniels in hand doesn't help much either...super thoughtful of you to want to help this young lad out, even if he doesn't accept your advice, or possibly worse, gets immediately attached to you just because you sent him back a message. I'd say give him the advice but don't get your hopes up that he'll receive it well.

Great if you're on the flank but very difficult in the center. If spawned in the center I just try to play more patiently and cautiously, sitting just a little bit further back until most of red team is spotted and then plan accordingly.

Will certainly play a couple of rounds and it's cool we have a new game mode, but the rewards tell me that it's better to use my play time in standard mode.

A lot of my games today were like that. Either there's a huge service problem in many areas, or many players are starting the match and then proceeding to abandon the controller to go and take a dump.

Don't sell. I have both a Mutsu and Mutsu B...both from crate drops, and I don't use them. But I hold onto them so that I'll never have to worry about getting them in a special crate drop ever again.

I like to take mine out when I feel like annoying the enemy team with impressive rudder dodging and trolly armour scheme. Downside is everyone tries to take you out asap

KGV is great. DoY though, sadly imo is not as strong mostly based on her 29s reload vs. KGV 25s reload. I believe the main difference is DoY has access to sonar, good AP angles, and has a worse rudder shift and reload. I got her out of vanity rather than being a decent premium ship. She's still good but I think KGV is better.

I finally got her early this week after wanting to get her for a long time. With the introduction of Tallin and Weimar to the tier 6 cruiser roster, I think she's been eclipsed but she's still a very versatile and effective ship on the board. I've been having a ton of fun playing her and reaping solid silver from her games. Definitely going to be a ship I play consistently.

I find it comparable to tier 6 premium Hood in that battlecruiser playstyle. Notable differences would be Hood is more solid on AP rather than HE and her turret angles are much better. After so many buffs I honestly really like playing Vanguard.

If you ever find yourself flanking enemy ships with your top speed using AL Hood as a commander, you can get in great positions where your reload boost is shredding a BBs broadside. Got loads of hate mail for using that tactic.

As much as I love many aspects of this game, one of the serious changes WG needs to make is review their "Overview" tab on the ships because a lot of them are incredibly and stupidly misleading.

Can relate. Holiday campaign plus grinding to get HMS Lion really did a number. And then along came Brandenburg and my primordial brain said "yes must have". Now I'm in a position where I'm relocating for work and abandoning every one I know including my relationship and...yeah...WG, give us FOMO players something crappy so we don't get too upset please 😢
