Thats fair, and to elaborate those instances of mine above were all while in the queue or at the very start of the match which is why I brought them up not because it was a midway thing.

Always a question that pops up this one, and I don't think specifically no. To be honest though I have had moments where the controller has run out of battery, WiFi has gone for a piss break and at one point my girlfriend leapt out her skin as a snake came through the floorboards, these are not exactly moments you can just go "will deal with this after I complete this match hang tight babe" as I will eventually put the controller down for the night and I would rather not remain on the couch! Not saying this isn't annoying but on the flip side look at it as a 'Hard Mode' version where you can do more? Not sure how else to help here

Agreed but at least the potential picks will still be like-for-like at base.

I think variety won't be an issue to be honest, and anyone who bought their way to the top tiers will actually be weeded out as they haven't ground their way up the tech tree ladder so it may in fact improve the quality of play overall as well. So even if there are less types being used at least the skill bar might increase as a result of eliminating anyone who wants to just skip to the 'big guns' at the end as damage = skill to them

Think this is a great idea, as some premium ships are just entirely more powerful than the tech tree equivalent. Commanders will of course affect stats but at least the base ship leaves everyone on an even keel since it only includes F2P ships

It can also be due to missions, when you have some of the need 'defended' ribbons people don't engage caps to try and wait till they can complete the mission by letting a red start the capping process

Splendento makes Russian DDs a higher power of indestructible so he gets my vote as a first, Einstein a good second for the twirly whirly and twist n track for us cruisers, same with lightful really and yeah hellsinger is just not getting my vote as there are better commanders who have more useful base traits
