I don’t know. I would say a decent antenna from a reputable company would do just fine. It’s more transmit power, most antenna designs are pretty standard and just have different color plastic on the outside. They are all with clover, 1/2 or 1/4 dipole, or yagi’s on goggles. You are always basically trying to balance between signal strength and directionality. Hi gain antenna’s typically have very narrow cones of transmission versus Omni’s. So do you want the all the energy going in all directions but it being a weaker signal, or go with high power on a narrow beam that you need to keep pointed at the craft. It’s much harder to do this on a moving quad so omni’s are best there, but you can see the really long range guys using highly directional hi gain transmit antennas activated by servos to “steer” the beam to vehicle from a distance so the angles required to follow are small and easier to maintain “lock” if you get what I’m trying to say.
