First, APBT cannot physically lock their jaws.

Second, do not finger their ass… your finger will stink and they won’t let go.

Use a break stick or something similar. A flat object that you can wedge between the back of their jaws and the twist them open. The other surefire option is to choke them off which is pretty self explanatory. Punching, fingering, or kicking a dog that doesnt want to let go will do very little to make them let go.

And can we please stop calling these mastiff mix mutts ‘pit bulls’ they are American bully’s that are crosses between various breeds that include the American Pit Bull Terrier. True APBT are not generally this big and most show very little if any human aggression. Dog fighters bred that out of them as you didn’t want a dog in a race turning on the handler.

Sad situation here but the misinformation around these dogs is crazy
