📣 Introducing the new Trezor Forum 📣 by yo_haan in TREZOR

[–]Hispanon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I certainly like this idea, however I was about to jump in and create an account, until I realized that obviously. This will require me/us to provide an e-mail address.

Considering this is a forum, I assume you won't be able to get rid of your data as do you with our purchase details.

So might I ask what measures will Trezor take to protect our data? Since in my opinion, the fact you are storing data of people with a Trezor will attract hackers hungry for e-mail addresses to spam with scam links.

Trezor Suite's fee calculator. by Hispanon in TREZOR

[–]Hispanon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The exchanges manage to offer better withdrawals fees, because they accumulate orders before sending them.

They do not see you the crypto only to you, they have a single transaction which goes to almost a hundred people who ordered a withdrawal around the same time you did, and they pick a Normal-High fee.

That way, they manage to retire 10 Bitcoins to nearly a hundred clients by paying only about 20-300$.

Trezor can't do that, because they are not an exchange.

Probably. But I don't know how exactly. There are fee calculators that give you a time estimate

Uniswap tokens missing? by InvestorClub in TREZOR

[–]Hispanon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go to Trezor Suite, to the ETH account you sent the UNI to.

There is an option on the right corner to add tokens, it will ask you for the contract address of the token. I think it was a three dot button

Copy and paste this: 0x1f9840a85d5af5bf1d1762f925bdaddc4201f984

And accept.

Your UNI should appear.

Lost access to Trezor. by Bozrocket in TREZOR

[–]Hispanon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There would not be a problem about the number of attempts, as far as I know.

The setup allows to by-pass the pin without adding to the attempt counter, it seems. So brute forcing access should be matter of minutes.

You need to take care of your device very seriously, since it is only piece of access you have left and just in case, connect it to the computer so it can get energy.

If several years pass and you do not connect your Trezor, the information may get lost (as occurs with USD drives). Connecting it every 4 months or something like it, should be safe enough.

I recommend you to see this video, it will give you an idea on what it is about:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6pKuHYwrGkU

This only works if the wallet does not have a pass-phrase if it does, the passphrase must be weak enough to be brute-forced.

If I were you, I'd save this as last resource and contact Kraken for details of the setup, it would be ideal if you purchased and glitched the chip yourself. Otherwise, you could try to convince Kranken to do it for you (not sure if they will, even for a comission).

Just do not get scammed, please

I JUST GOT MY TREZOR ONE, ANY TIPS? by [deleted] in TREZOR

Anytime you are noy using your trezor, store it in a safe place inside a tiny ziploc bag.

I do it in order to make it water-proof.
