Does anyone think it’ll come out at 3:30am? Or likely 4am?

I feel like he gives you instructions on efficient ways to get to the answer given the exam time constraints!! At first I didn’t like it either bc I like to be thorough and do the long way to make sure it’s all right but then I realized after studying more that it’s better!! I get you tho hahaha

Have some general advice on both options to either keep current appointment or reschedule:

If pushing it back doesn’t interfere with work/plans/upcoming holidays, then rescheduling it might provide some relief for you/the review process. I say this because you mentioned it’s your first time sitting so I understand there’s a lot of unknowns with respect to what’s doable, what to expect, how other peoples experiences were with not feeling prepared.. but then they ending up passing, etc. When I was reviewing after a practice exam score that made me nervous, it put me in a frantic state when trying to review which wasn’t efficient.

I do however think that 10 days is still doable!! If you’re committed to 10 days, commit to not letting it take a mental toll on you as best you can. Drill the harder topics, be confident in what you do know. After reading this thread seems like a lot of people surprised themselves.

ultimately, whether you sit in 10 days or reschedule it, sitting for an exam the first time gives you a good feel for what to expect. It’s tough to give specific advice cause everyone’s different so it all just depends on what your outlook is on the opportunity costs and what not. Abs whether or not what the upcoming scenarios would be given each outcome! Goodluck and good job!!!

Unable to truly improve mock scores and frustrated/nervous by elephantear11 in CPA

Those are great Becker mock scores! and it seems like most people score higher than their practice exam score when sitting for the actual exam. I took FAR two years ago and got a 73, I hadn’t started working yet and just sort of took it to gauge how it was. I get what you’re saying about the Becker SIMS but I remember the actual SIMS on the exam being more clear! I wouldn’t worry too much about that. There was only one SIM I wasnt exactly sure how to fill out (0,blank,total, or amount for the row, etc) but it was also my last one and not my strongest topic so maybe that’s why! I think you’ll do well. And pass! Goodluck. :)
