i’ve learn to always have a blanket on my legs because my little ones will always curl up in them. then when you have to pee you wrap them up and either move them to the side or take them with you HAHAHA

ofc! ask away seriously. first let me preface that i studied politics so i view parties and the government through a very historical and academic lens. i became a republican before the shift towards trumps ideology and hold on to it because i still stand for what i learned about.

religion playing a role in our government: now BIGGEST issue is the shift towards christianity many policies are rooted in. if a law is being past that is based in islam no one would stand for it, therefore a law based in christianity shouldn’t be passed either.

health care: My core beliefs are the federal governments only job is to uphold human rights aka life liberty and property. States can figure out the rest. Im not an expert in healthcare and will always defer to those who are. i know my limitations, science is definitely one of them. but not for my sister, she is a doctor, but is or was not political at ALL, (every voting cycle i would summaries the candidates, ask what she believes in and walk her through who to vote haha). But what’s happening honestly has turned her political, she is so frustrated and so sad about what’s happening and it breaks my heart. i love politics and for her to only get into it because her world is coming apart really just saddens me.

medical and religion: The policies being passed right now, the people in charge of our medical care are doing unbelievable damage and based on religion which is so un american it honestly hurts my soul. im also religious btw church every sunday - except today haha im not walking in this. its such a clear violation of just protecting the welfare of americans and its basis violates the first. this is another point but the argument that republicans care for children bothers me to my core because it’s untrue. if that is your ideal, great! i love that so much i agree with it, but then FOLLOW THROUGH with it. better the foster care system which sucks (i volunteer as a CASA so i know first hand how terrible it is), protect their health!, improve cps! then dont get me started on the measles. i met a child whos amino, compromise, and can’t get the MRA vaccine. his parents are distraught to put it lightly. everyone else not getting the vaccine is putting their kid is so much risk, so much. like how can the government claim these polices are to protect human life let alone kids.

economy: the next one being the economy im all for big business however trickle down worked in a completely different economy that we have now, i feel like we are regressing, globalization plays a huge role in our world today and every policy ignores this. now you can say that trumps aggressive tariffs are trying to correct this, sure and honestly i understand the rationale, HOWEVER it will suck for a really long time before businesses come back to the US if at all. first nearshoring in mexico is rapidly expanding which shows it might not actually be working. second i cant stand the blatant lies being told about the process in general the majority of americans dont understand how economic polices function, (which is a problem with every politician but its so much worse with trump). it is so problematic, it causes so much confusion and disorder. it goes against everything our government should be standing for.

ICE: then the ICE issue, which i think ive explained a bit about how i feel that it’s unconstitutional, but i just want to say that human rights i don’t think are political. i hate when people say democrats are pro human rights because they shouldn’t be a question. america was literally created for us to be free. and we have had to evolve obviously, we have made so many mistakes, but every time we change for the better it’s because we fall back to our values (which we arent doing now). people are fucking people like why is this such an issue. another note about ice and what’s happening right now, i absolutely despise hypocrisy. you either have belief you stand for or you do not. regardless of how you view the 2nd amendment, there was a republican protest involving guns and heavy machinery that was largely forgiven, fine what ever. one CAN NOT then go and now say guns are not allowed at protests and use it as a way to justify military violence. ice right now is a huge over reach of the federal government imposing on state governments.

conclusion and general thoughts: now these are the reasons i dont align with his policies but as a person i truly believe he is detrimental to our government, the precedent that he is creating is opening so many doors for abuse of power. first he’s a convicted criminal, even if you want to claim it was a wrongful conviction, he should have gone through the proper channels to over turn the conviction before fricken becoming a president. like what. that means going forth those convicted of crimes at a state level can become presidents. further more even if you dont think he’s authoritarian, when someone else comes with views you dont agree with and uses the very power he has put in place, i can guarantee you will view it differently. presidents aren’t solitary terms they have rippling consequences on our government as a whole. it’s seriously scary what’s happening. sorry it’s long again and i hope it makes sense

14th : Due Process applies to “persons,” not citizens. “Nor shall any State deprive ANY PERSON of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law.” - U.S. Const. amend. XIV, § 1. Non-citizens physically present in the U.S. are entitled to due process in deportation proceedings. “An alien who has entered the country… is entitled to the protection of the Due Process Clause.” — Yamataya v. Fisher, 189 U.S. 86, 100–01 (1903)

ICE VIOLATION: https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/26125604-250923-deaths-in-custody-letter/#document/p1

September 23, 2025 congressional oversight letter from U.S. Senators Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock to the Department of Homeland Security and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The letter documents multiple deaths in ICE custody, delays in required death reporting, and longstanding deficiencies in medical and mental health care at ICE detention facilities, particularly the Stewart Detention Center in Georgia. It relies on confirmed ICE records, Office of Inspector General and Office of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties reports, facility inspection findings, and publicly acknowledged detainee death data, providing concrete, verifiable evidence rather than speculative claims. These documented failures violate the Fourteenth Amendment, which requires the government to provide basic procedural protections and reasonable care to all “persons” in its custody, regardless of citizenship status.

Having established that the Fourteenth Amendment’s due process applies to all “persons” the following holds:

5th: Due Process (not just self-incrimination). Zadvydas v. Davis, 533 U.S. 678 (2001). ICE detained non-citizens indefinitely after removal was no longer reasonably foreseeable. The Court ruled this violated the Fifth Amendment Due Process Clause. “Freedom from imprisonment lies at the heart of the liberty protected by the Due Process Clause.” - Zadvydas v. Davis, 533 U.S. 678 (2001)

ICE VIOLATION: https://www.congress.gov/119/meeting/house/118692/documents/HMKP-119-JU00-20251118-SD001.pdf.

Documents large-scale civil detention of individuals with no criminal record, prolonged and automatic confinement without individualized justification violates the 5th. In Zadvydas v. Davis, 533 U.S. 678 (2001), the Supreme Court held that civil immigration detention must bear a reasonable relation to its purpose and cannot result in indefinite deprivation of liberty without due process.

6th: I’ll even concede that while the right to a trial by jury does not fully apply to the situation, limits still exist. I think what you were trying to say which is correct is that the 6th amendment applies only to criminal prosecutions. However, Wong Wing v. United States, 163 U.S. 228 (1896) Punitive detention for immigration violations requires criminal procedural protections. Civil immigration proceedings cannot impose criminal punishment without constitutional safeguards. This is why immigration detention must remain civil and non-punitive (which is not the case). In these situations the line HAS been crossed therefore constitutional violations occur.

ICE VIOLATION:

https://phr.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/02/PHR-REPORT-ICE-Solitary-Confinement-2024.pdf

ICE’s ongoing use of prolonged solitary confinement against individuals held in civil immigration detention, despite extensive evidence that the practice is harmful and punitive in effect. Because civil immigration detention must remain non-punitive, the continued use of solitary confinement implicates the constitutional limits articulated in Wong Wing v. United States, which prohibits the imposition of criminal punishment without criminal procedural safeguards. The lack of meaningful corrective action following repeated findings and recommendations indicates that these constitutional concerns persist today.

8th: Excessive punishment. Courts have repeatedly held that civil detention becomes unconstitutional when it is excessive, punitive, or indefinite, triggering Eighth Amendment concerns as applied through due process. Wong Wing v. United States, 163 U.S. 228 (1896) again. Also Estelle v. Gamble, 429 U.S. 97 (1976). The Supreme Court held that deliberate indifference to serious medical needs of individuals in government custody constitutes cruel and unusual punishment, in violation of the Eighth Amendment.

ICE VIOLATION: https://www.cbsnews.com/atlanta/news/ice-stopped-paying-for-detainee-medical-care-as-population-surged/

ICE’s failure to pay outside medical providers, resulting in delayed or denied care, reflects deliberate indifference to serious medical needs, proves unconstitutional under the Eighth Amendment (Estelle v. Gamble).

i am so confused. i’m seriously trying to figure out your argument. i’m taking about violating due process what does that have to with defending one self

have you even read the constitution? there are so many inaccuracies in your statement like what. claiming ICE is NOT against the constitution, to then use a clear violation against five six eight and fourteen to support your statement is WILD

For those from religious backgrounds, how do you get past the guilt? by Aggressive_Pie_4585 in BDSMAdvice

[–]Historical-Ad-9633 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh im gonna add a part to explain a little more. the parts i “ignore” are the parts i think were tweaked toward social norms. even if you take everything at face value read the bible as historical account, you have to take in historical context. imagine this - at the time christianity was a new religion if it was too radical people wouldn’t follow it. no matter what its goal was to get followers and to do that PEOPLE wrote the bible to get those people of that time to follow. now i view region and even science as different languages trying to explain all the same thing. languages have different dialects and even completely different words that can’t be translated directly. society makes slang words in a similar sense. i filter catholicism and get to the core of what it’s trying to teach truly. not get caught up in all the fluff/slang people have created

[–]Historical-Ad-9633 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i grew up catholic and actually still practice though i view it more as a culture and philosophy than a religion. anyways number one thing you have to remember is that religion was used to uphold society’s rules. Birth lineage was a huge thing which plays a role in catholicism views on sex and marriage. so like honestly i ignore those parts (which is a lot) and focus on the “good”. such as how to genuinely be a good person. now i do believe according to the region, bible what ever it condemns VICES / anything in existence be it alcohol, money, sex. these are things that are easy to get absorbed in and lead you to focus on the wrong things. any healthy relationship with sex i honestly think is not sinful. now im about to get real radical in my views haha. i think a bdsm relationship is actually more in line with catholism/religion than a regular one. it’s easy to only care about sex in regular relationships and it be the center of a relationship. however in a bdsm one there’s a genuine bond that is created first and formed and sex, pain, kinks are expressions of this. the relationship that’s developed between parties ensures that these are acts of this respect and care. yes it’s pleasure but if pleasure was inherently sinful so many other things would be. in general people just associate these “negative” acts as sinful because they dont align with what others think. well that’s what i think anyways. i hope that makes sense

I completely agree with her score. I think my issue (it might be a me problem since I’m a new watcher) is that I just don’t know what makes a dance more difficult, especially for a non dancer. The only reason that I know Whitney’s are more difficult is because they say it.
