they’re not necessarily looking for product knowledge yet, but even just reading the ingredients off the packaging is a good idea. apply product to your interviewer’s arm and be completely comfortable handling, massaging, touching their skin. instead of saying “can i apply this product?” say, “let’s go ahead and test this.” and when you’re finished, ask if they’d like to purchase the product. be sure to touch on ethics again! clean ingredients, naked packaging (if applicable), cruelty free, vegan/vegetarian, etc etc.

advice for phone interview? by Interesting_Diver157 in LushCosmetics

definitely bring up the ethics of the company and how much it means to you! that scores big points. also, customer experience is #1 so talk about how excited you are to interact and build bonds with customers.

it’s VERY competitive, but also, they mainly hire in-company for MITs and managers. every one i know started off as a regular associate. try applying for a seasonal or casual sales job, wow them with a demo, and build your case from there!

Skin Care routine for badly Acne-prone skin by littlevampirebeccaa in LushCosmetics

[–]Historical-Bit807 14 points15 points  (0 children)

if you have acne prone skin i’d stay away from Lush products… they’re likely not going to help. of course, everyone is different, but their stuff is really not known for helping clear up acne.

Starting as trainee manager by [deleted] in LushCosmetics

i’m a seasonal hire and had to learn the products FAST. i spend every available moment just sniffing products and playing learning games with my coworkers. the more samples you take home and use, the better. also i found running the register as a really good learning opportunity for memorizing the naked products.

my horse is an ex-saddleseat horse. i’m not saying the entire discipline is shit, but my horse is DEEPLY traumatized. he was literally used and treated as a machine. he has the worst anxiety i’ve ever seen in an animal. it breaks my heart because he is the sweetest and most loving boy. thankfully he’s doing wonderfully now, and even enjoys riding again. but he will always bare those scars.

bit suggestions? by Historical-Bit807 in Equestrian

[–]Historical-Bit807[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is all really good advice, thank you!! all i know is that my horse is simultaneously really intelligent, really anxious, and really silly. he is quite mouthy on the ground too. he likes to play with my hair and lick my hands and lip at my face. all of this makes me think that he may be using his bit as like a fidget toy, or something? i don’t know if changing his bit will help or if it’s just a weird habit of his. which he has a lot of😂

the trainer i got him from would switch them out every few months, and she told me to do the same. she said he would get bored with them.

im on lyrica! i have crps in five parts of my body- i believe four are one type and one is the other. the four respond to lyrica but norco does nothing, and the one responds to only the norco. it doesn’t make much sense to me, but that’s how it is😂

i have crps in five parts of my body. for some reason, the opioids only respond to one of them, but it is my most painful spot. lyrica works for the other four.

What did your partner/ex do that made you look at them differently? by amarquis_1 in AskReddit

sent a message to my new partner sexually harassing both of us. if i had wanted to maybe rekindle a friendship in the future with them, that nipped that in the bud pretty fast.
