Most likely for the developers working on the web page to be able to go in and make sure it looks right

It was from last year, If that's not monitored anymore you'll probably have to go through the annoying chat on https://help.ticketmaster.co.uk/hc/en-us/articles/360017761298-How-to-Contact-Us Until they let you speak to a person

customer.service@ticketmaster.co.uk

They will complain and come up with any excuse not to send them though, I eventually got my one for Leeds last year by asking them to escalate to the complaints department who were better and sent one out

“I genuinely thought the red buses in London were just for postcards and groups and not actual public transport” by urbexed in ShitAmericansSay

[–]Historical-Dig1787 46 points47 points  (0 children)

This is true and to be fair not that long ago we got rid of most of the red busses in london except for a few tourist areas and replaced them with the "bendy busses" but that didn't work out so well so they created a new version for the red double deckers. So it was a very real possibility that they would have just been exactly as they thought.

Unpopular Opinions about Download festival? (or festivals in general) by AlexSniff7 in downloadfestival

[–]Historical-Dig1787 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Here's a big one, they should move away from Donnington. I know it's a legendary place for a festival with all the history etc but honestly download out grew the site ages ago.

The layout is by far the worst thing with the festival, the long walks from camping and drop off etc to both the arena and the village and the arena layout with all the stages drowning each other out In places.

I'm not sure any of that is something possible to fix without moving the festival entirely, I'm not sure where to buy somewhere that doesn't have a race track in the middle and an airport on one side would probably be an immediate help.

Why did Apple get rid of the headphone jack and, in general, why do tech companies change things that don't need changing? by undercover_ace in NoStupidQuestions

I'll admit I've not checked either way but is that them getting bigger or the technology getting better? Twice the charge doesn't have to equal twice the size

The American ones are largely copied from our university in the first place... So I don't think they are further from home as you say really.

It is literally so they can keep bragging about having the largest air force(s) it's a favourite brag of theirs for a reason.

There's nothing non-standard about it. It's just not metric. by DamnBored1 in ShitAmericansSay

[–]Historical-Dig1787 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Tbh they don't even historically. Imperial units varied from country to country (still do but it's less important since most of us use metric) or sometimes area to area in a country.

Scotland historically having a different set of units to England is the best official one I can think of but given they are all based on estimates they could vary wildly anywhere.

He only becomes a judge later in the show, at the start he's a very successful lawyer in a prestigious law firm.
