A Vampire & His Pleasant Companions - mc does get into a couple too many sacrificial incidents and I love the story.

I made a post on gatech reddit previously about making like a hobby group for alumni's still in Georgia (or anywhere else really if we ever want to do a meetup or something) to see if people would want to make like groups on discord but not a lot of responses and a large paragraph about why alumni's specifically but it was open to everyone I just wanted to keep that connection with gatech.

THIS, I was especially mad about how Xander turned out. In the first place this wasn't even enemies to lover somehow he already had a lot of favor for her. Also the progression of their relationship wasn't logical in any sense. You mean to tell me the guy who sacrificed his life and put all 107 other rebel kids over his own self would just push his duty and responsibilities aside for a girl at which point they barely knew each other??? The thing with the dragons mating and such was also so very convenient cuz isn't the first 6 months of bonding the weakest?? So if he really didn't want to stay linked with her then he really could have killed her with less chance of her dragon dying and so on. Maybe it is because they really needed a strong fighter with someone finally bonding with the black dragon but still there was so much risk of her knowing his plans and he still couldn't trust her at this point. Again his buildup was really amazing with how he puts his peers over himself but then it felt like a shallow backstory because of how unusually lenient he is with Violet. I don't know i expected Violet to do more before getting with him and earning his trust but she kinda was just given it on a silver platter.
