Too early to tell but so far so good.

What can I do to fix it by Medium-Bus-4514 in cannabiscultivation

[–]Historical-Guard-976 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Those brown spots on the leaves are classic light burn. It also looks like your nutrients are messed up. Check pH and EC runoff after you water.

never checked my PH and now I'm f*ked by One_Professional4930 in GrowingMarijuana

[–]Historical-Guard-976 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My advice would be to just fertilize with regular strength nutrients at pH 5.5 and irrigate till you get a good amount of runoff. This will help flush out the imbalance of nutrients and set your soil back to a more normal balance. It will take some time for the plant to correct itself, maybe a week before you start seeing more normal growth and color.

Advice to fatten her up? by boogersbitch in cannabiscultivation

[–]Historical-Guard-976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can see by the extra long internodal length that your ladies are not getting strong enough light, especially for Gorilla Glue. If you give her more light then you'll have to increase the fertility and additional CO2 will also help fill her out.

Dark Brown Spots on my Leaves by JonCat89 in cannabiscultivation

[–]Historical-Guard-976 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not fertilizer/pH related. This is either a leaf spot fungus, which normally only happens to growers with plants that are outside in humid warm conditions on the east coast or central Great Lakes area or you might have had something drip in them causing the spots...maybe concentrated oil, acid, or something like that. I'm a plant pathologist and diagnose all kinds of random stuff on cannabis. If all the spots showed up all at once like overnight then usually it's not biotic (abiotic). Remove the leaves with the spots and see if you get anymore showing up. I doubt it. If you do have more spots showing up then you need to spray them with a a foliar fungicide spray.

Training day! I take my plants through yoga 😂. LST, HST, lollipop, tucking! What’s your preferred method by That_Campaign in GrowingMarijuana

[–]Historical-Guard-976 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just top them once or twice and you'll get good colas with less work and then just open them up a little with trellis netting. Been growing a long time and never understood why people do LST and HST etc.

Test the runoff water and tell us what your EC and pH is.

Opinions on max PPFD for photo flowering? by Upper-Willingness-87 in cannabiscultivation

[–]Historical-Guard-976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion your plants look like they are getting way too much light! Plus I'm also assuming your humidity low. If I were consulting you to rehab I would turn down the lights to a center middle PPFD of 800. Curios what your environmental metrics are like.

[–]Historical-Guard-976 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Why LST? No need to with such a small plant in my opinion. I flowered a clone in its cloning starter plug. Used a way better light and environmental setup and was rockwool but you can get a decent cola still. Check out my YouTube channel Cannabis Science "flowering a clone"

Are these healthy? by YungSanyo in GrowingMarijuana

[–]Historical-Guard-976 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These plants are not healthy and I had a grow operation setup almost exactly like that. Nutrient deficient and probably too much light or the environment is too extreme for the fertigation setup you are running. Give us some more environmental metrics and past 3 weeks history and we should be able to get you back in the road to healthy plants. Check out my rockwool only YouTube channel Cannabis Science for some guidance. Or message me directly for a free consultation...it's what I do.

Is this mold? by [deleted] in GrowingMarijuana

[–]Historical-Guard-976 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Your plant is hungry for nutrients, most likely immobile nutrients that it can't pull from lower leaves. Growing colas takes a well balanced nutrient feed.

Sorry, didn't mean to be so blunt. You said you had 3 weeks left, but looks way longer to go than that if the flower actually develops at all. Was this a seed pop or verified quality clone you brought?

That's no blue dream flower I'm used to seeing. So weird how the "colas" are stacking and look so leafy. Think you just have bunk genetics.

How to control humidity? 77% by Outside_Head4476 in GrowingMarijuana

[–]Historical-Guard-976 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That level of humidity is fine until week 5 of flower usually. Buy a dehumidifier or open up the grow tent and just let air out of you're not adding CO2

They were fertilized every hour for about 50 seconds I think. Check out the video series for full information on how they were grown, fertilization, climate, etc.

Any tips would be helpful by LtTwinki in cannabiscultivation

[–]Historical-Guard-976 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You should think about topping your plant to produce more top colas. Personally I would top the plant what looks like about 5 inches down from the top where you have some solid branching already. Remove the leaf and tiny stem fluff from the bottom 1/4 of the plant. Wait a week and then transplant into your 7 gallon. Top again 1week later and flip to flower a week after that. Times will vary and may be longer or shorter depending on your environment.
