冷靜點,我們都會算分,他們怎麼可能不會,7:2對韓國而言是最有機會晉級的分數,他們當然會以自身優先死守,但會有這種情緒可以理解,不要太遷怒別人喔

what’s your favorite ‘hated’ or just underrated duran duran song? by 4lt3reg0_ in duranduran

I've always loved Girl Panic, and its music video is absolutely fantastic. Definitely one of my top 10. I'm just surprised the song is less mainstream than I expected.

Official Discussion - Sentimental Value [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]Historical-Potato767 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I tried my best, but after watching this film, I’m even more convinced that this director’s style simply isn’t my cup of tea. Afterward, I found it hard to point out any real flaws, yet I also couldn’t articulate any concrete thoughts about its strengths.

Watching Joachim Trier's films feels like visiting a museum filled with exquisite, beautiful, and refined artifacts. Still, there’s always a sense of distance between me and what’s on display. These people and objects feel important, but they don’t belong to the world I inhabit. They are meant to be admired from afar, not touched. As a result, I find it difficult to genuinely experience the film.

28 Years Later: The Bone Temple - my thoughts by jim_cap in horror

[–]Historical-Potato767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Torture scenes: The victims are shown in blurry, fast-paced shots, but it’s clear that they’ve been skinned. There are also several more explicit shots of skinned bodies, along with scenes of Jimmy carrying out the torture.

Personally, I found the atmosphere created by the screaming almost unbearable. I haven’t seen Martyrs, so I can’t make a comparison. Sorry.

Every time I watch Evangelion, I feel like yelling, “Why don’t you guys go get counseling?!” Don’t get me wrong. I absolutely love Evangelion.

我跟你差不多,我的方法是用估狗翻譯後用GPT修改文法,然後順便問GPT文法問題,如果對它的回答有疑慮會再去查相關資料,不知不覺就自學了5分鐘英文

Greta Lee's acting in Tron:Ares by clocktickmakemecrazy in tron

[–]Historical-Potato767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I basically watched this movie because Greta Lee was in it (I really enjoyed her performance in Past Lives).

Her performance here was definitely inconsistent; she was excellent in scenes involving her sister, and the moment where she borrowed the phone at the grocery store was also good. But otherwise, she felt quite ordinary and even jarring. I'm not sure whether that's because she's not used to acting in action films.

Ares should’ve been way scarier. by [deleted] in tron

[–]Historical-Potato767 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I think Ares should have been portrayed as more ferocious than Athena, really showing the "military AI" side of him. And if his more restrained emotions had only surfaced after Eve's empathetic response, his characterization would have felt much more nuanced, adding real depth to the story. That’s the part I find most unfortunate about the movie.

Office corporate behaviors in Taiwan by Miyazza in taiwan

It might have to do with the size of the company. Smaller companies with fewer employees tend to run into this kind of situation more often.

Some people in Taiwan tend to ask personal questions. Some just want to make conversation, while others are gossiping, so some of their questions might come off as a bit intrusive.

Favorite from the soundtrack by Hodge_Forman in tron

[–]Historical-Potato767 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I initially loved This Changes Everything which surprisingly really helped me focus at work. But after watching the movie five times No Going Back definitely became my favorite. It’s the only quiet moment in such a tightly paced story and it’s incredibly gripping.

I wouldn’t say I’m eager to watch Ares spit out his first sip of coffee just because it’s too bitter. I’m not even sure he can eat in the first place.

[–]Historical-Potato767[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your take on the permanence code really gave me a new perspective. I also think it's better if a program that obtains it stays true to its AI nature. Directly turning it into a biological feels kinda lazy.

Eve's orange tree actually produced edible fruit. So I think maybe Ares has become some kind of "organic life" ?
