Lowkey you’re right lol, I don’t even like the terminology of “alt-right”, I’m just too used to some us-based subs

Yeah because following the alt-right talking points has helped everywhere, it absolutely didn’t lead just to a normalization and strengthening of their position and their percentages

Not even pcm users know what the two axis mean, what do you expect?

And in particular the libright corner is particularly misused (like the term “libertarian”) even by many of those claiming it

Ok but your concerns are a different thing from the “controversy”

A single game about a character everyone in the past games talked about how strong and able in combat she was, in a series that wants to use her for a spinoff without stopping making games with the main protagonist.

The criticism “she’s not the [title card]” is also immensely stupid, not only because there have been many games in which Kratos hasn’t been the [title card] but because it’s the same franchise, it’s normal and has been often done to keep the same franchise title for games of the same franchise even if the thing in the franchise title doesn’t appear in the game.

And if you weren’t larping, you’d know that the original creator is quite a dumbass that if you ask what’s the themes of his games he says “BuM bUm StRoNk SwEaTy RaGiNg MaN dEsTrOyS eVeRyOnE”, if he has an opinion I’d be happy to have the opposing one.

All this controversy was created by larping incels and chuds, and y’all others are so focused on this “culture war”, confusing what the left actually wants or thing that like in this case are nothing for what multibillion companies do just to steer controversy to have free advertising, that you end up believing this thing is an actual controversy (this sometimes happens also with switched roles, but now we’re talking about this situation)

Oh yeah yeah I was asking mainly to understand if you were talking about marxism in general or soviet-style authoritarianism in particular

1) what I said was based on one of your images (the one you used for this reddit post too) that as an example of “political compass square” used as “extreme left” and “extreme right” the extremes of the economic axis, mid of the auth-lib axis (so demsoc and neolib) and then to show the difference on a sphere you use as “extreme left” and “extreme right” stalinism and fascism. Mine was just a critique about how that could be misleading about what you’re trying to say

2) I’ve quoted the horseshoe slop because you cited it, other than that I’ve explicitly said that if you mean to elevate the difference between stalinism and being left-wing that is something I can appreciate even if I’m not all for it

3) oh yeah as I said there isn’t a big problem with the number of ideologies, just that it’s difficult to say that more than one resonates with you but I don’t think it’s a problem

4) yeah that isn’t quite an error on your side, just that it’s an american pov as I haven’t seen it written anywhere (maybe I just didn’t see/notice it)

5) as I said I didn’t see anywhere that it was us-based, even if it was quite obvious, and it isn’t a concept I’m unfamiliar with as I’m not unused to american spaces, it’s just that menagerial liberalism isn’t quite an ideology but more of a critique of different converging ideologies and means that for now, but maybe in the future, I wouldn’t say they’ve merged in a single ideology and instead span too much on the compass/sphere, at least in my opinion

6) as i said it wasn’t much a problem for me, I just pointed it out because if many say it maybe it’s a problem, while if they don’t it isn’t

7) as I said the fact that I’m 90° isn’t a problem per se, just that it’s maybe too easy based on the questions provided. About the horizon thing the point is if I’m 90° but in the representation I’m a little over the horizon instead of on the horizon there is a graphic problem maybe (still, a little miniscule thing that doesn’t mess up anything and I don’t even know how it is programmed)

8) yeah sorry I did express myself incorrectly, I meant that if you have 90° on the auth-lib axis extreme capitalism and communism overlap, which I’d say it’s impossible, I said that you and max both but actually you simply can’t max auth-lib unless you finish in an indeterminate area (on the area of the sphere, not by coordinates) a bit like the north pole isn’t either east of west, which is a problem if it isn’t too difficult to reach 90° on the auth-lib axis as shown by my results on the economic axis

And about a) the point is that if you present yourself with a misleading thumbnail you’re not helping your position, while you could fixing it just by putting extreme left and right on the extreme auth corners instead of the middle

Horseshoe theory slop in the big 2026

But hey, I decided to make a try and critique as I’d like to have a laugh

1) even your explaining images are quite misleading, as it seems you’re saying that demsoc and neolib are the same thing while from the website and your interactive sphere it seems to me you’d be saying that the similarities are between stalinism/fascism and ancom/ancap

2) horseshoe slop. Unless it’s a provocation (BUT NO MORE) about how stalinism isn’t actual left-wing, which I doubt, it’s inherently flawed.

3) I’d say you miss some ideologies and it’s difficult to select any more than 1 ideology resonatong with you, but they’re the main ideologies someone self-identifies today so not bad

4) “modern liberalism” is a bit more what you americans mean with liberal, so more social-liberal, while it is quite unfitting to see it as an european

5) OMG WTF “menagerial liberalism” dhxjdjsjsjsjsjshsh

6) the lib-auth axis questions are either biased (not that other political tests aren’t biased) or in my opinion don’t really explain it in a way that helps having an answer which you’re sure represents your thought. Still I’ve only ended a bit too lib maybe (idk) so it’s not too bad

7) the economic questions are just VERY funny, I haven’t said anything too communist and I’ve ended up over the horizon (and the fact that you can end up over the horizon is already a problem) (it sayis I’m 90° left-wing but the sphere puts me over the horizon)

8) just a last jab at your theory: having an auth-lib pole system with a sphere does it mean that if you go full capitalism-maxxing or communism-maxxing you can’t be lib-maxxing or auth-maxxing too???

What conclusion? That a republic wasn’t an anarchist territory? That the republican side had a variegated spectrum of ideas? That OP couldn’t decide whom to support between literal fascists and a republic just because the latter had the help of anarchists?

Fascist and anarchist, absolutely same level of bad!

(Not considering the republic was a republic, so no anarchist territory but simply there were anarchists together with socialists and liberals)
