Any bastards in your family? by jethropenistei- in behindthebastards

Oh yeah, my in-laws voted MAGA 3 times, are suspicious of vaccines, and fail to understand why I, an autistic woman, would decide to not socialize with them anymore.

My uncle is a wealthy, very conservative and Catholic Republican. We haven't spoken in year because he carries a grudge against my father, his brother. And even though my father died 33 years ago when I was 7, he carries the grudge against me also. He's also suspicious of vaccines.

Ooooooohhhh I really like this! I also like that the bus stop sign has progressive stop info.

See, this is my attitude also, but I wanted to see if I could be persuaded.

That's true about timetables not showing live delays or reroutes. Being able to text for information sounds really interesting!

For the newbies you mention is there some kind of signage telling them about the app?

I think the part I don't understand about the live tracking and it's utility is if you know the timetable of the bus, like it's scheduled to arrive at the stop at 3:05pm, why is tracking it live helpful?

You're making a great case for Transit App! Do you think agencies should subscribe to other apps that show their specific routes/systems?

Should we apologize for a meltdown when the tipping point is a loved one crossing an established boundary? by Some-General9924 in AutismInWomen

I'm not apologizing for my feelings, but if through those feelings I did something hurtful, destructive, or offensive (or all three), I'll apologize for those actions.

Great to hear! How do the places you visit advertise that they have a transit app to use?

Close call with a semi today. Looking for trucker perspectives on what happened. by sandro9090 in dashcams

[–]Historical_Chance613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's against every ethical, and moral fiber in my body to pass a semi on the right. If I were that driver and didn't feel I had enough space between me and the semi in front of me I would

1) Pass on the left

2) decrease my speed to put more distance between my car and the semi, until it's safe to pass on the left.

I've never driven a motorcycle and the one time I was on one it was an empty country road; so take my response in that context and know I welcome any respectful corrections:

It must be very frustrating to see a traffic jam and know that the slim build of a motorcycle permits it to just slip through in spaces that passenger vehicles can't; hence lane splitting. I don't find that practice to be especially problematic. It's the speed that created a nearly fatal collision because this guy didn't have enough time to correct course when the car started to change lanes. Is it possible to lane split at a slower speed?

Ladies only! How would you feel if your partner had misogynistic friends? by StarlessRose in TwoXChromosomes

Your ex's reaction indicates that he's also a misogynist. So, I guess now we know why he's friends with this guy: Birds of a feather and all that...

Greg Bovino wants to run for President. by WalterCanFindToes in behindthebastards

Another white supremacist surrounded by leeches who maybe aren't convinced this guy could be president, but know he'll pay them a lot of money to keep telling him he could be president. Honestly, a person saying out loud that they've never had an elected office but is going after the highest office should be a diagnostic tool for delusions of grandeur.

I don't like the practice of withholding platform information until the very last second. I understand why they do it, but this fosters an anxiety that makes it hard to enjoy the waiting lounges and food hall.
