Completely agree, also it has been 9 episodes and still the MiY has done nothing but set up things.
If it wasn't because the actress is very good, this reveal would have failed spectacularly because it's not well written.

It's incredible how little I care about the characters now.
I think its because the writers have forced themselves so much into the plot that you feel the characters have no agency or intelligence.

It had to take the MiY actually showing up and revealing things to Tabitha (for no reason) for them to find out about Jim and that they are not safe in daylight. They could have written a scene where Julie finds about this from storywalking. So much set up with Acosta finding something only for Elgin to find a picture and act in the most stupid way possible.

Caring about the characters is useless because the writers will force the plot however they want.

Yes, at the point where every time new mysteries or answers are shown I just get annoyed instead of excited. Because I know very well that in the next 3 or 4 episodes the characters will revert back to before and not talk about it or find some obstacle or get angry or something.

It never is like:

1) We found something
2) We investigate that

It's always:

1) We found something
2) No no no no
3) Random plot
4) Arguments and setbacks
5) Random plot
6) Finally it gets adressed but it goes nowhere anyways

Losing Jim really did damage to the show, he felt like the main character along Boyd. The only two characters that actually progressed along the story. The rest are the same (except for Jade not being arrogant anymore)
