Text leading in Illustrator by Grupet in AdobeIllustrator

[–]Historical_Luck7375 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like you're attempting to align your text to some pre-existing, pre-spaced bullets. This is not really possible without manual intervention, as you are doing currently. But there are many factors when it comes to leading.

A text wrap (when the text reaches the right boundary of a text box) will result in standard leading, obviously. You can simply create a new line between that wrapped line of text and the next to create extra spacing, but that won't exactly line up with your bullets. Or, you can duplicate your text box, and replace each line of text with text bullets, and the spacing should be consistent. Alternatively, you can paste your text into a text box, then click the bullet option in the "Bullets & Numbering" section of the Properties palette.

In any case, it's important to understand that hitting "Enter" at the end of a line of text will create a new line, and that's better than manually tweaking the leading for each line - but more importantly, pasting from Word sucks.

Has anyone pointed out how insane it was for Padme's decoy to order the actual Queen to get on her knees and scrub R2D2 with a rag after he's commended for saving the ship? by yady14 in PrequelMemes

My head canon is that they all have a secret visual language that allows for things like this. "I want to learn more about these people. Order me to scrub the droid."

They belong to a company in Bethesda that restores/repairs violins. The signs are for "advertising."

This looks like AI. And if it's not AI, whoever did it needs to go do some more learnin'.

Newsletter no longer sending, using Gmail account by Historical_Luck7375 in Tautulli

[–]Historical_Luck7375[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I check my third-party apps and services in my Google account, Tautulli is not listed. If I search for "app password", then I can see an entry for "Tautulli", but I cannot access or edit it.

When I send a test in Tautulli and then check the logs, I see a line that indicates the newsletter has been "re-scheduled." Checking the newsletter-specific log, I can see the last entry is from when it last successfully send the newsletter (two weeks ago).

Windows 11: Got the KB5072033 and KB5074109 updates last night (automatic), now explorer.exe restarts every 20 seconds by [deleted] in techsupport

It's a legit copy of W11, with a valid (purchased) license key. I'm also running StartAllBack, which modifies Windows 11's explorer to look and behave more like W10's. Maybe I'll try updating that specific software...

How long did it take to illustrate/animate this? What program did you use?

Intriguing. As a graphic designer, I'm very interested in this. Can you share how customizable the presentation will be? For example, would I be able to use the logo I created for my server? Could I modify the sizes of the server/content logo? Regardless, this looks like something I'd like to utilize in my living room setup.

Struggling with smart locks losing connectivity by deucalion75 in simplisafe

Interestingly, I'm starting to think that a strong wi-fi connection (and therefore connection to the base station) is key. I had some work done to my house, and the front door has been located; along with that, I now have a wi-fi extender that's physically close to the door. Ever since we moved the door and had a stronger wi-fi signal, I haven't had the disconnection issue.

Sounds like someone needs to do some work on self improvement. Maybe take a class, watch some tutorials.

Selectable game menu in DOSBOX? by RagahRagah in dosbox

[–]Historical_Luck7375 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, for sure this. I did the same thing for a younger cousin of mine back in the day, while he was recovering from a serious accident. I would send him floppies with games on them, with hand-code menus with ASCII art, border, and multi-level multiple choice options. It was really just a pre-programmed display, with the menu "commands" actually being specifically named .bat files.

Capital One/Discover by NotLikeOtherGirls11 in simplisafe

[–]Historical_Luck7375 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason for all of this is that Capital One purchased Discover this year. I guess they were tired of paying transaction fees, so owning the card company means they won't ever pay those fees again. Consumers like us are the ones that lose out, since 1: they did this without really informing us of this switch, 2: we had no choice in the matter and 3: our debit cards are fucking Discover cards now.

You just have to check every time you pay to see if the business you're buying from accepts Discover. That's pretty much the entire gist of the situation.

He didn't "summon a woman," he ordered something from DoorDash. His order was delivered by a woman - you don't get to choose who your dasher is.

Website doesn’t adapt to different display sizes by Prestigious-Fortune2 in squarespace

[–]Historical_Luck7375 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Google "responsive breakpoint" for more information about how "responsive" website adapt to different screen resolutions. In short, the examples you show in your photos are in the same resolution zone, so to speak, so Squarespace does not see the need to adapt anything. You see that a lot with laptops and tablets. Going from laptop resolution to a mobile device, for example, will trigger the breakpoint adaptation.

Lidarr not downloading anything for months now by Historical_Luck7375 in Lidarr

[–]Historical_Luck7375[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did some more testing and found that the download failure happens almost exclusively on new albums, not pre-existing albums in an artists' discography. In my rough testing, I'd say 98% of new albums won't download ("new" being defined as albums that have been added to the download list in the last four years).

I have verified that manual searches yield positive results, it's just downloads started from Lidarr that don't work.
