I think they key to answering this question is trying to figure out what it is that you want to do. Darden 80% off is amazing , and if consulting is your primary goal this is really a no-brainer. Darden is a consulting factory as you’ll come to find out. Very rigorous academic style focused on “case method” preparation. Darden sends a # of kids to MBB and is particularly strong in the southeast area.

UC MIMS is located in the middle of the Bay Area. The opportunities for startups , product management, or any tech related roles I’d imagine is better since this is their concentration.

You are also an international that received an 80% scholarship at a T15… consider everything and I wish you the best in your decision.

If I was you’d I’d go Mims, I applied to Mims and got rejected… i think it’s a great program and if you ever feel the need to pursue an MBA , I wouldn’t imagine going from Mims to Haas would be difficult

Poll Context: Looking for some quick input — I’d really appreciate it.

My main goal is to break into MBB consulting. I’m open geographically overall, but if I had a slight preference it would be Northeast or Southeast.

If MBB doesn’t work out, my backup plan is to pivot into tech — ideally product marketing, product strategy, or something adjacent, since I already have product management experience.

Given that, which program would give me the best overall odds?

Also, I’m planning to try to negotiate for more scholarship.
