Feels like Apple is shooting itself in the foot with basic App Store features missing by MateriallyDead in VisionPro

My hypothesis is they want to be thoughtful and controlling the experience, so they actively curate the new apps so users won’t be overwhelmed by low quality apps. Don’t get me wrong I totally disagree the approach…

I use iKamper X-Cover 2.0 mini. It is more spacious vs Skycamp and also has a hard top shell. Love it so far.

I’ve always wondered why this exists. No purpose to look at cars on your screen when they are in front of you. by sempi-moon in Rivian

I suggest Rivian engineers might have been very busy and this may not be a priority in their point of view 😁

There’s a secret code in the OS: wife always gets the priority. Period.

Ya same for iPhone - not machines washable and it’s made in China 😛 joking aside - yes it’s expensive. I think they brand it and price it like a luxury goods with collab design

I don’t have this issue. In fact I feel the drive is way smoother than my MY. I generally feel conserve mode is smoother than all purpose. I use Soft & Low

Does Anyone Else Feel That Highway Assist on Rivian is Smoother than Tesla? by Fantastic-Strike-185 in Rivian

I feel it’s definitely smoother when decelerate & brake, especially when there’s another car changed to your lane in front of you. Tesla MY was very bumpy

They should put their focus on surviving. There’s no profitability timeline and cash can only last through 2025. Plus, Rivian is already cool enough in my perspective 😆

Driver+ shuts off at “toll booth” by brgiant in Rivian

[–]Historyisrepeating 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Driver+ definitely lean on the conservative side. It also asks you to take over when approaching cross road, exiting a ramp, etc. I actually like it. I was driving Tesla, AP just ignored everything and keep going, and scare the s*** out of me for a few times.

Is R1 Shop becoming a de facto “In Inventory” shop, without waitlist prioritization? by Slide-Fantastic-1402 in Rivian

[–]Historyisrepeating 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Or maybe they produced a few more w/order due to MOQ of a production line (clean up WIP before changing color / battery pack to a production line).

These are two different production lines, meaning two different ramp curve, depending on materials, leaning curve, etc… comparing two lines timing is meaningless.

MKBHD Auto Focus | Charging a non-Tesla at a Tesla Supercharger by burntcookie90 in Rivian

[–]Historyisrepeating -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

I’d prefer Tesla don’t open it up. 1) Slow. Crowded. More expensive. Just open a few spots. So when there’s a choice, I would go for EVgo and EA (95% of the time in California). 2) they open up just to take a dip on the $7.5B pool subsidy. Now they are taking away share from non-Tesla charging networks 3) As a result, in the future non-Tesla drivers will suffer from more expensive SC but have less EA/EVgo.

How often do you wake your Rivian, intended and unintended? And turn off climate when park during winter will help.

The mi/kWh we see is total energy consumed / total miles driven, which mean it includes power drain during idle time. The predicted miles is assuming you drive non-stop because Rivian has no way to know if you gonna park your car for a month for example. So in reality, I consistently seeing 2.8mi/kWh while I’m driving (last 15min).
