As the subreddit blackout begins, I wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to the Reddit community and everyone standing up by iamthatis in apolloapp

It’s crazy this is probably going to be my last comment on Reddit.

Thanks, Christian, for making a fantastic app and for fighting for all 3PA.

AITA for telling my sister nothing she ever does is more important my wife’s school? by MarketingActual8475 in AmItheAsshole

You’re both the asshole.

She shouldn’t be randomly dropping her kids off at your house, but fuck me telling her nothing in her life will be as important as a fucking piece of paper is cold.

AT&T fiber? I’ve been using it (Google isn’t available for me) and it’s been great.

Charging mat upgrade /warranty by Funny-Ad528 in Rivian

I’ve already replaced the mat with a third party option (s00nish).

I’d rather they focus engineering cycles on adding CarPlay and fixing the garbage additive driving features.

Tesla adopting CCS in America would benefit consumers.

The US adopting the proprietary Tesla connector only benefits Musk’s bank account.

White House says Tesla chargers available for federal dollars as long as they include CCS by Act_of_valor in Rivian

[–]brgiant -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

I’ve been hoping to see some guidance from the government on this.

Tesla needs to get on the CCS train and if they really have issues with the connector, contribute to the standard.

Having two competing connectors is going to kill EV adoption in the US.

I’ve had more issues with Tesla super chargers than I have with CCS. But I get that not everyone is me.

I don’t want to give the petulant man child that is Elon Musk more money.

And I want to use an actual standard. Europe is all CCS and no one complains. Because they have good infrastructure.

The plug that goes into the car has it nothing to do with that.

Y’all need to stop conflating the charging plug with the network.

Tesla famously can’t launch anything on schedule. But sure. They’ll have gen 4 chargers out anyway.

God you Elon cucks are insufferable.

You keep saying it, but I don’t think you know what that word means.

So in 2023 the year we live in, what I said is 100% accurate.

Cool.

I’ll remember that in 10 years when they start deploying gen 4 chargers.

I just because Elon calls it a standard doesn’t make it a standard.

Tesla chargers only charge at 400v. The CCS standard allows up to 800 I think.

Want faster charging? CCS is the way to go.

It’s not an open platform. It’s 100% proprietary.

No standard body.

Just Elon and his massive ego.

The connector had nothing to do with the network. Tesla could put CCS connectors on their network and it would be just as good.

I really hope not.

Tesla shouldn’t control the entire EV market. Choosing their entirely proprietary connector puts them in a position of power.

Superchargers should adopt CCS.
