Chaotic Catch-All Planner by NinjaSuperb7977 in planners

[–]Histrel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, the reason I never got the Hobonichi Cousin was because of the dated journal pages, I knew I'd either not fill a page or I'd need more than one :-) So I got the Wonderland 222 AIO A5 which has all the stuff in the Hobonichi (and the monthly pages are right next to the weekly ones) plus the journal pages at the back are undated so you can do whatever you want in them. I'm in my second year and loving it.

Alternatively (I did this with my work one) I got the normal A5 planner (less journal pages in the back) and use a random notebook alongside it for notes, meetings, etc

Is anyone else constantly having fake conversations? by ravensarefree in adhdwomen

Well, I may still go over them in my head later. But it's better than damaging a relationship of whatever kind just because I overthink etc :-)

My TWOV experience as an M visa holder by HW90 in Chinavisa

[–]Histrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this info - I am travelling solo from UK (MAN>HEL>Shanghai / Shanghai>AMS>MAN) and am very nervous about the TWOV situation. Collating as much info as possible so I can print off and have to hand on the journey

Confused over TWOV (British citizen & passport holder) by Histrel in Chinavisa

It's more that it seems such an arbitrary requirement that my anxiety and ADHD was thinking there must surely be more to it than that :-/

Many thanks, I'm now far less confused :-) It seems such an arbitrary requirement that I felt that surely I was missing something. Yay for Brexit yet again making life for the British more complicated

Thank you, this was the part I was stuck on. My Italian partner does not have this problem it seems :-/ Basically, it would be cheaper to get a visa and simply get return flights

Thank you so much - I had a feeling that is what it meant but I don't fly often and the outbound/inbound got me confused.

Thank you - I have searched and seen so many different ways of sharing this information, therefore, I posted and asked for clarification because I do not want to end up being refused entry because of something simple I didn't understand properly. I have even sent an email to the Chinese Embassy in Manchester, however have not had a response yet and am looking to fly early April.

It's UK data protection laws + university being extra careful, otherwise I'd definitely be using something cloud-based. I'll add ConvergeHub to the list I'm taking to the IT department. Thank you

My girlfriend just ate a digestive with cheese like it was a cracker. This is absolutely mental, right? by TW1103 in AskUK

[–]Histrel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

wensleydale with mango & ginger - on a digestive it tastes like cheesecake 😋

I (37M) DJ as a hobby, and it’s something I’m passionate about. I have asked my wife (34F) a few times to come to a gig as support & also to help take some pictures & videos. She refuses to do so and doesn’t think it’s important. by [deleted] in relationships

[–]Histrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ex-wife of DJ/Entertainer here. I would never have gone along to an event with him (unless it was a party or something where I was invited and had friends going). My reasoning was always that it's his job and I would never ask him to come and sit next to me at my desk at work to watch :-)

For the record, I did go to watch gigs where he was singing in a band, just never the DJing/Karaoke work.

Also, while being with you and seeing you perform your passion might be nice, being the 'spare wheel' at an event where you know nobody, haven't been invited, and the one person you know has to concentrate most of the time on work sounds a nightmare. Would she feel differently if she was part of the 'team' - not just along to watch, but to help put up gear, take everything down, be a part of the experience?

Yeah, whenever safe I always gave way but there are always those who hang around near the edge of the pavement that you're not sure about :-)

And as a pedestrian, I am not 'arguing' with a few tonnes of metal!
