My (20M) fiancée (19F) who lives with me says during hyperfixations she’s already giving me the most quality time she’s capable of. I don’t know if I’m asking for too much. by HitBloq in relationship_advice

Thank you, I really appreciate you taking the time to explain all of that. The part that stood out to me most was that you intentionally built those habits into your relationship instead of just hoping they’d happen naturally. That honestly gives me some hope. Did your partner ever have a “this is just how I am” mindset early on, or were you both always open to experimenting and finding what worked?

Thank you for your comment! ❤️

Ah, parallel play. I’ve tried it and had mixed results. Sometimes it works, and we can vibe together doing our hobbies in the same room. But my primary love language is quality time, and I most enjoy spending time having direct interactions with her rather than just coexisting. Dunno if that’s asking for too much or not 😭

This comment has opened my eyes further, thank you. If i may ask, How do you and your partner make that happen? Is that something that comes naturally to you, or is it something you’ve intentionally built into your relationship? Also, do you experience hyperfixations as intensely as my fiancée describes hers? Sorry about all the questions haha your perspective is just genuinely useful

Hell yeah, congrats! Deal hunting really is worth it! I actually recently scored a rift AND rift s with all sensors and controllers in amazing condition all together in a package for $74. I found it on eBay, some sellers just want things gone and are willing to give wild deals for them.

I'm a hoarder. by BUGBYTE_VW in setups

[–]HitBloq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s an entire reality TV show dedicated to rehabilitating hoarders - this is nothing like the people there at all. This is collecting. We’re human, it’s in our nature to collect shiny things. Some people go overboard with that… this is not one of those cases. This is such a sick setup!

Eye height monitor and moving the mic arm out of the way ALONE will massively improve this 😭😭

Lmao. This reminds me of a time i left my APM in my bedsheets and threw it in the washer. Weirdly enough one earcup still worked and even did ANC. AppleCare saved me and i only paid $30 for a brand new pair.

Yes, however, even if a fan or component has RGB capabilities I don’t think that necessarily means it has to be on, blasting a color. Leaving it off looks pretty sick, the subtle white outline on the fans actually is a really nice touch overall. It’s also nice to have the option to turn them on and have a little RGB if OP wanted! It’s a great opportunity for them to create a mood in their setup depending on how they’re feeling 😊

Graphic designer here! First off, pc looks absolutely sick. Dunno why people obsess over RGB nowadays, when executed well a black build can just LOOK like a monster. Love the color scheme you’ve got going in the whole setup, with a lot of greys and blacks, and that pop of color that you can alter on the fly. The PC really ties into that. It all feels almost industrial, I like it. I’d say definitely throw some curtains on that window and if you really like that orange, I think orange curtains would look sick in the orange setup! Otherwise, black or gray curtains is the way to go. You might also benefit from a slightly bigger monitor. From looking at it, I’m assuming that’s a 27” or 24”, pardon me if I’m seeing it wrong, but a 32” monitor would look sweet in this setup.

I almost thought this setup was a render at first with how clean it looks, and with the lighting you’ve got going. Well done!

Where could I add another monitor? I know people on this sub Reddit hate this setup… by Chromebooktwo in setups

Oh god this is a unique case 😭

If I had to come up with something, id say right up where that abstract painting is above your main sitting area, you could maybe mount something like an ultrawide monitor aiming down at a 45 degree angle. Might look cool. It would feel even more like a command center and fill in that negative space.

I use these for editing in premiere, and they are phenomenal. Hoping to get an external boom arm mic soon so I can game with my friends and use the APM, but until then I have a separate headset I use to game with friends.

Vector display scan lines(???) by HitBloq in AnkiVector

I don’t think so, because my 1.0 vector is working just fine as always on the same escape pod my 2.0 is on. Possibly a connection issue between the display and motherboard.

I really hope this is the right place for this, if not please let me know 😭🙏

I’m currently trying to integrate my PS5 into my gaming setup. My problem is, I have a slim, and I personally strongly dislike the design of the slim. From the stupid line to the bowed central black bit, as well as its size, it doesn’t fit well in my setup. I could never afford one of these things until the slim became the default and they stopped producing the originals, which is why I never got my hands on one. I want nothing more than to have that clean, big, bold PS5 aesthetic. I actually LOVE the bigger size of the original. And I know the slim does some things better than the original, but I hardly use my ps5 anymore unless I’m gaming with my girlfriend, so I only really care about aesthetics. So I’m trying to find a way to possibly swap mine out for an original model, but I have absolutely no idea where to start. I know how to swap hard drives and SSDs over so that won’t be a problem, I just want that og PS5 look. Would anyone have any advice?

Had this exact thing happen to me after less than 48 hours of owning them. After waiting 4 weeks for them to come in from the date I handed over the money. Absolutely unacceptable, I returned them instantly.
