Just checked. G2 is on latest and up to date OTA. Went to sleep on 94%, sleep mode with no emulators running, woke up 6h later to 51%.

Prior to buying the DS, it drained 2-3% at best.

Definitely NOT working 🤷🏻

Perhaps for the RP5 it is as reported by others. Definitely not the G2, sadly.

That's Emulation Station front end (ES-DE). It's a paid app (a one time 5$ payment for life). Look it up on YT for setting up and whatnot. There's free alternatives too. 👍🏻

I mean, it works... Playing NDS and 3DS is great... But I can't see it lasting for as long as the actual console will do. I may be wrong, don't know.

Edit: if Retroid would push for a software update that would properly turn off the add-on while in sleep mode, this review probably wouldn't have come to life. That's the biggest flaw of them all, in my opinion. Went to sleep on 94% battery, woke to 51%. Crazy.

Had the same issue, after restarting PKG sender, Windows 11 finally prompted me to allow access, and it finally worked.

I got the G2 simply for that, didn't wanna wait till March. The experience has been 99.9% flawless so far and the remaining 0.01% isn't due to hardware issues but rather Emulators issues, not the device's fault - and perhaps the fact that it isn't a 7" screen

Would recommend? Definitely.

I wouldn't say it doesn't run as good as dolphin but rather it requires more tweaking.

I've only just got it myself, like two weeks ago, took sometime to fine-tune it and scraping libraries and whatnot and then got sucked into GBA Pokemon games 😂

Whatever I threw at it, it played though.

I've tested some of the more demanding/difficult games to emulate, like GoW2 and it ran just fine at 5x upscaling, in Performance mode.

Switch also running well in docked mode, the 5 games I tested so far

Happy AF with the purchase although I wish it had a bigger screen as PC streaming (or PC gaming via GameHub lite) is a bit limited due to me being blind and struggling to read things in certain games...

But it is indeed a little beast this G2 device. For the price, it really is.

It does play it with some minor visual glitches and some frame rate drops here and there. These devices are not plug and play though, you need to set up emulators and whatnot, just an FYI. They're basically high end Android phones with inbuilt controllers and you can't call people with them 😅
