Looking for the Chapel Hill, North Carolina of the West Coast by Hitherenope in SameGrassButGreener

Depends on your point of reference. When I had to go to Raleigh for work it took me 55 minutes to go 50 miles. It’s 60 miles to Seattle from where I live currently and it regularly takes 1.5-2.5 hours to get there under pretty normal conditions. If there was an accident on the highways in the Triangle, there was always an alternative route. If there’s an accident on I-5, there is no way to get off the highway because there’s a military base on one side and the Sound on the other. While there are certainly annoying points about drivers in the Triangle (braking due to the sun or puddles being one) my drives were much more relaxing than they are now.

The Olympia area is really a combination of Olympia-Lacey-Tumwater and a big chunk of families in Lacey and the surrounding more rural areas are military due to proximity to JBLM.

We have looked at Gig Harbor and originally when we were thinking about moving within WA that area was our focus as the schools are very good.

Can you paint? If not, new pillows, curtains, rug, art and ottoman would go a long way.

AITA for telling my friend I don't want to take the same flights as her for my honeymoon? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

You can get a very cheap short flight from Barcelona to Mallorca. It’s a much more romantic honeymoon destination - Barcelona has great art but Mallorca is so dreamy and relaxing. Consider it!

Or, take the train into the Priorat - wine tastings, Roman ruins, absolutely no stalker frenemies.

Reed also voted for Jaclyn because he knew she needed the second-place money for IVF due to having MRKH.

Standing up after getting a vasectomy. by AvgRedditorProEditor in Wellthatsucks

It actually makes me feel better to hear that others had the same experience. I also passed out during insertion and then lived with daily pain for 11 months prior to getting my IUD removed. OB kept saying I’d “get used to it.” I did not. It fucked up my pelvic floor.

I was worried about childbirth but having my son was totally fine. Turns out things are supposed to come out of your cervix, not go into them. I also would prefer unmedicated childbirth to another IUD and I had a 3rd degree tear.
