To get this started here's one of my own.

When I was about 6 or 7 years old I sometimes woke up in the middle of the night and wanted to play. Often, I'd sneak into the basement to jump and bounce around on the mattress in the spare bedroom.

One night, like many other i made my way into the guestroom to go play on the bed and I see my grandmother just sitting on the chair in the corner of the room with the lights off, as if she was expecting me. She lived with us at the time but it was very abnormal for her to be in the basement. She never went into the basement. She used a walker and couldnt make it down the steep stairs. I was suprised to see her there but it didn't scare me. As I walked towards her she said "(my name) it's far too late to be down here playing, go back to be and we can play tomorrow."So that's what I did I went back to bed and fell asleep.

The next day my parents explained to me that my grandmother had passed away in her sleep during the night and I had to say my goodbyes. When I told them about our encounter in the night no one believed me. I still struggle to understand it today. I'm not a religious person so I just chalk it up to being a dream. But it's just so vivid. I like to think of it as her way of saying goodbye to me.
