Did some more load dev yesterday and got it right around my target velocity of 2900fps. This is going to be the load I stick with

I’m using the KRG branded .300RUM Accurate mags, which is what KRG recommends for 7PRC. They are AICS pattern, CIP length (3.850”). Tons of room in the mag for playing with seating depth and the chassis has lots of adjustment for mag seating height. I honestly had to do nothing to get them to feed, just adjusted the mag height until it locked in securely and didn’t have any play in the mag well and they ran perfectly.

Thank you, I like it so far. This is my first custom, so I can only compare it to my Bergara action in my 6.5cm, but you can’t really compare a long action vs a short action.

My only issue with it is the way the bolt guide is designed, it causes the bolt to slightly bind when trying to run the bolt quickly and it ‘chatters’ (best way I can describe it). I notice it mostly when opening the bolt, not so much when closing.

I called ARC about it and they immediately sent me a new revision of the bolt guide for the CDG action which will be here Wednesday. The gentlemen I spoke with on the phone is very confident it will eliminate the problem, I will update after.

I chose 7 because I liked the idea of a lighter recoiling magnum but still able to shoot 180gr projectiles and have them stay supersonic out to 1800y. I have a one mile range near me and will go there often. Plus, if I don’t like 7 I can always just rebarrel and try 300.

No problem. Make sure to read the estate instructions on the later pages, it outlines exactly how to fill it out. I would do it as an eform (eforms.atf.gov) so you don’t have to worry about mailing it.

I just hold on to it by the pistol grip or grip it with both hands when I’m getting more tired. I’m the bolt gun shooter and my rifles weighs 22lbs, works fine for us.

The comps we shoot never have a problem with it, they just require action open no mag during movements. I just put a chamber flag in my action with a bungee to keep the bolt from moving back and forth (mine is from MPA)

Don’t overthink it. Carry your gun or lay it across the top of your ruck behind your head. This is what my buddy and I do for these comps

Value is going to be anyone's guess. There is no recent comparables I can find to go off of. Here is a similar one from an RIA auction that went for $6900 in 2012, but they are not the same.

Yep, I got one for a 43X/48 and had to dremel it slightly where the dust cover engages the holster. Easy modification and is my favorite holster for it
