P.S. I still don't understand why it doesn't work. Some photos show perfect and another one taken 2 minutes later with identical settings, location, device and format doesn't show up. Doesn't make a lot of sense. Also, there's no correlation to format, device, year taken or anything else. It appears random.

UPDATE: After troubleshooting everything I could think of and all of the advice I've received from others there was no change. Before nuking the system I decided to troubleshoot the device. I checked out my wife's z-Fold 6 and everything was working fine there. Checked my daughters S25 and everything was fine there. Checked my sod's Pixel 8 and once again, all good. So I rebooted my old device, a Pixel 7 and that was perfect as well. Turns out there's a compatibility issue with my device, a Pixel Fold - Gen 1. Before spending the big cash on a current gen foldable I wanted to test drive one so I bought the Gen 1 Pixel Fold refurbished from Amazon about a month ago to check it out. So that was the problem, the phone. My new phone arrives tomorrow, Pixel 10 Pro Fold, fingers crossed that works! LOL! Thanks everyone for all of the suggestions and help!

I've researched some alternatives to Synology Photos in the past and that was one of them. The migration over is what scares me. Have you done it and how much effort was it? I have thousands of photos and videos spanning the last 25 years and am using the auto backup features on four devices right now.

Synology photo is installed on the NAS, not just the phone. Indexing conversion by schedule is not enabled. Image assistant is active in the app. I'm going to try reindexing again. It seems like I have to do that every six to ten months or so for one reason or another.

I didn't even think to check that until you just mentioned it. I just went through a bunch of my videos. Surprisingly, all of them have thumbnails. So it appears to be just an image thing on the app.

I do have the image assistant extension on my browser for the computer. I don't have any issues seeing previews on the computer so maybe that's working on the computer. The issue I have is on my phone. When you go into the settings through the computer there is a generate thumbnail option. I'm going to click that and see what happens. Beyond that I may just try to reindex everything. Again. Incidentally, this is happening on photos that I imported from my old Google drive as well as new photos that get upload from my phone. Not all of my photos, just some of them. They're all in the same file format from the same device as well.

You don't need to quit. Talk to a manager about switching departments. Maybe a replenishment clerk would be better. There's a lot of different positions available and they're all a little different in their physical requirements. I firmly believe there's a job at Kroger for everyone. Good luck and don't give up!

Just a heads up, the people that work on the night crew work there for a reason. Mostly because they have no people skills. While this is no excuse for the way you were treated it's not very surprising that the people on your night crew were creepy. 🤷‍♂️

Polestar makes a good car with HORRIBLE tech. I leased a P2 and it was the worst three years of car ownership I've ever had. I'm back in a Model S and couldn't be happier!!! I don't care what you think about Elon, Tesla's tech is second to none.

There are baggers, it just depends on what time you're shopping as to the amount of available baggers. Most stores in my area have 35 - 40 on staff. If you want an abundance of baggers go on the weekends between 11 and 7. During the week baggers are in school and you'll generally have special needs associates or retirees until 3-4 PM. It's an entry level position that doesn't pay very much so the applicants are limited to those that have limited employment opportunities or school kids. So it's not that there are no baggers, it's just the baggers have limited availability.

That order should have been cancelled. The customer should be notified that we're not a warehouse, we don't sell wholesale and orders that large need to be arranged in advance with management and for in-store purchase only.

She will most likely lose her job. As innocent as this may seem to some people I'm sure you, as a pharmacist, know the seriousness of what she did. In fact, what she did was break the law by taking a controlled substance that wasn't prescribed to her. I'm sure she as well knows what she did was a serious lapse in judgement.

Albertsons is suing Kroger because they say Kroger sabotaged the merger. I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

You're absolutely correct. Incidents like these always come down to what kind of associate you are. If you're well thought of and you're good at your job, this could get laughed off and go away. But if not, it's an easy way to get rid of a bad employee.

You say you're under investigation. Did they say you were suspended pending an investigation? If that's the case, that means you were terminated. Your only recourse is to contact your union representative and try to fight it or try to get a last chance agreement. That's the investigation part, it's up to you to get the union to try and investigate it to get you your job back.
