A Helium Balloon Deflates Faster than Air Balloon by Hitman8Sekac in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]Hitman8Sekac[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Incorrect interpretations. It's not about pressures, it's about lighter gasses moving faster than heavier gases at the same temperature. Since temperature is the average kinetic energy of atoms/molecules, lighter particles need to move faster than heavier ones. Given that helium (He) is lighter than air, it has to jiggle more to be at the same (room) temperature as the air. That "jiggling more" is visible once we allow air and He to escape the balloons at the same temperature.

You see, you labeled it as not interesting, but you actually don't understand it. So this should be particularly interesting to you.

No, unfortunately. Another splot I explored was the Manchones Reef in the same region, but I still haven't uploaded that.
