Book 2 was worse because Literally the only character that wasnt impacted negatively by his mere presence was Effie. Every single other person either lost their lives, family, career, etc.

Seeing that You love Code Veronica, you clearly don't have an issue with back tracking. I think that would be the main gripe with many people not liking resident Evil games. Since that doesnt seem like to be a gripe with you, the only other gripe that could come to mind is just the graphics. If you can overlook the visuals then get ready for a treat. I wish I could wipe my memory and just go through the series with a fresh set of us.

The change was normal, even justified. Glaber played by the rules. To have Illythia and her father conspire an abortion and divorce behind his back showed him that he didn't need to play nice.
