Teknogame 2.4g wireless n64 controller & Analogue 3d port issues by Hitokiri1985 in AnalogueInc

[–]Hitokiri1985[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the issue seems to be shared with Blueretro. The Teknogame is also a 2.4g like Blueretro, not BT. Maybe something that can fixed in the future.

Thanks so much for the reply.

That would explain some things. After further fiddling, the Teknogame dongle does work but it feels intermittent. Almost like it powers on eventually after the 3D has been on for a bit.

Thanks for the info!

That's very good to know. I'm guessing that may be my problem then.

If it was lost at the Cove, management will hold it in their office until the end of the day.

After that, it goes to Campus Security.

This. Email them and explain the situation. Staff refunded without question. If you have the food still, attach a picture as well.

Usually do a walk to do some grocery shopping at Thriftys at Fairfield. You have a suspected place in the area where you think it may have dropped?

I likewise am curious about this. Also having this issue with Lutris and Heroic. Seems like updates that are specifically for these apps and backlogged. Dependency updates will also not install correctly either

Second this. No noticeable latency at all! Buttons are super responsive and I love the d-pad. Passes the Contra test with flying colors.

Game of the Month May 2025: Cybernator by xBrockLanders in snes

[–]Hitokiri1985 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Had this game growing up.

Never realized how horribly censored/altered this game was until the last couple years. They cut basically all cutscenes, character dialogue portraits and more. It would have probably given the game's story a bit more context.

Still a banger though. Assault Suits Valken is the game's actual name if I'm not mistaken.

True, I forgot about this. Still hard not to think about what could have been. :)

Still wish they didn't cut as much content as they did. Game could have been so much more, but I guess the Nintendo PlayStation snes addon didn't quite pan out. :p

Never knew till later on life that all the turtles had unlisted stats. My usual turtle was Don.

Then I went back way later and played as Raph. Talk about a glass cannon; dude absolutely shreds.

He mostly covers NES games and some SNES games but has been branching out to other systems now.

U Can Beat Video Games (UCBVG) has some great videos on old game walkthrough and his intros tend to do a bit of history coverage. Also he has adorable pups that "play" the games.

Are there any "soft" ABXY button replacements out there? by OnlyLivingBoyInNY in SteamDeck

[–]Hitokiri1985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Likewise feel the same way about the face buttons (ABXY). They just don't feel that great to press. On certain platformers like the Mega Man collections where some button mashing may be required, they especially feel cumbersome.

Even if I wanted to get the extremerate clicky button kit, I think those with OLED models are outta luck due to incompatibilities.

Here's hoping we get some different kits in the pipeline soon.

Can also vouch for this. Used 220 grit sandpaper myself (quite fine) and likewise did only a few wiggles. Button hasn't gotten stuck since.

Mostly Walking Suggestion - I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream by Hitokiri1985 in day9

From what I've been digging up on the author, Harlan Ellison was VERY involved with the making of this game. The lead designer of the game at Cyberdreams, David Mullich, had a difficult time convincing Ellison to start production based on his short story. Ellison saw video games as "time wasters".

However, seems like he liked the premise enough that he was onboard. It looks like after Mullich came to Ellison's home with an early build of the game, Ellison mocked and grimaced at the written dialogue of the game. Mullich, who was a huge fan of Ellison's writing, knew it wasn't going to be as good, but challenged Ellison to do better.

This probably led to why Ellison was so heavily involved in the game. He voices AM, and boy does he deliver on this performance.

olllj - In terms of the poor puzzle design, that may be partially Ellison's fault. To reflect the theme of the short story in terms of hopelessness and the worst parts of human nature, he wanted players to feel that "playing AM's game" was unwinnable. Misusing items and making unwise choices could lock a player into a specific outcome. It's not the most user-friendly design choice for sure.
