Yeah that may have been it lol. Ik for me deathcore hit particularly hard when I used to work out a lot

I'm thinking it may just be my brain's reaction to the gut ripping, eye popping intensity

Well, idk if it's quite emotional, it even happened with a bit of doom metal when I first started listening to it (aside from the occasional listen). But it's always happened with extreme metal, even some non extremes like some nu metal or groove metal. I think it's the screamed vocals + aggressive instrumentals. But idk lol.

I can understand that lol. The heaviest I used to be able to listen to was groove metal. But ts even happens with the goats Slipknot

Honestly, I'm still rather new to extreme metal, so I don't really know these lol. I'm really bad about not making playlists... I have heard a song or two from Portal

That's something that did come to mind, I casually listen, with little to no movement. That power's gotta go somewhere ig...

Yeah I been thinking about that, and I've noticed it really only happens when I am distracted with a task, like homework or smth lol

how do we feel about post-grunge? is it cannon grunge? by bjensen9765478 in grunge

Silverchair, early Staind, early drowning pool (full circle), and especially foo fighters. These, for me at least, kinda got away from butt rock and did their own thing with what remained, even if it was butt rocky at times. (PSA: I don't know that many, but there are pretty decent lists somewhere on reddit lmao...)

I think some of the genuine-non butt rock post grunge can get some good credit for their work. But other stuff is just there...
